<p>Verma, as per HT, also pointed out that the bilateral civil aviation agreement between both nations consists of provisions that can be invoked to tackle these threats.&nbsp;</p>

<p>WION also sought a response from the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs if they have taken note of Pannun's threats to blow up an AI flight on Nov 19.</p>

<p>Acknowledging the question asked by WION, "Is the Canadian government planning any action on this threat?" the authorities responded by saying they would be looking into the matter.&nbsp;However, as of now, specific details are still awaited.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Gurpatwant Singh Pannun had said, "We are asking Sikhs not to fly AI on 19th November. There will be a global blockade, and AI will not be allowed to fly anywhere across the world on 19th November. Sikhs, you do not travel by AI after the 19th. It can be life-threatening."<br />

When we will liberate Punjab, the name of these airports will be Shahid Beant Singh and Shahid Satwant Singh Airport,” he added.</p>

<p>It is worth noting that November 19 marks the birth anniversary of the late Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who was assassinated during the protests against Operation Bluestar in Golden Temple in 1984.</p>

<p>This comes months after the horrifying incident in Canada where a tableau celebrated the assassination of Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards was paraded in Brampton on June 4.<br />

<p>Many media reports are comparing his death to the killing of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was also gunned down in a similar fashion in Surrey on June 18. Nijjar's death is currently at the heart of a diplomatic tussle between India and Canada, which accuses Indian government agents of being&nbsp;involved&nbsp;in the murder.</p>

<p>Notably, Singh was on the most wanted list of India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA).</p>

<h2><strong>Lawrence Bishnoi&nbsp;claims responsibility&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The gang members of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi have claimed responsibility for the murder, citing revenge for the killings of&nbsp;gangsters Gurlal Brar and Vicky Middkhera.</p>

<p>The murders were planned by Sukhdool Singh even when he was staying abroad, the gang alleged. Describing Sukhdool Singh as a "drug addict", Lawrence Bishnoi's gang said that he destroyed the lives of many people and that he was ultimately "punished for his sins".</p>

<p>They further warned that their enemies would not survive in India or any other country for that matter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Bishnoi is currently incarcerated in Ahmedabad on drug smuggling charges that are being investigated by the NIA. Bishnoi is also an accused in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.</p>

<p>According to sources, Sukha fled from India to Canada in 2017 using fake documents. There are more than 10 cases registered against him in Punjab.</p>

<p>Singh is among the 43 listed gangsters who have been involved in anti-India terrorism, according to the NIA. These gangsters left India on either Indian passports or through fake or forged travel documents or through the&nbsp;Nepal&nbsp;route in the past.</p>

<h2><strong>India-Canada diplomatic row&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Leading the pack of countries giving shelter to these terrorists is Canada, which now accuses Indian government agents of killing Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar without providing any substantive proof.</p>

<p>Diplomatic tensions rose after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, on Monday (September 18), accused the Indian government of being involved in the fatal shooting of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was one of the prominent secessionist faces to operate&nbsp;from Canada.</p>

<p>The two countries subsequently expelled one senior diplomat each.</p>

<p>On Wednesday, India issued a travel advisory for its citizens in Canada, a day after Ottawa updated its own advisory for India. India's advisory warned of growing anti-India activity and "politically condoned hate crimes."</p>

<p>The advisory urged Indian citizens in Canada and those planning to travel there to exercise caution.</p>

"Wagner is a violent and destructive organisation which has acted as a military tool of Vladimir Putin's Russia overseas," Braverman was quoted by the newspaper as saying.<br />

"While Putin's regime decides what to do with the monster it created, Wagner's continuing destabilising activities only continue to serve the Kremlin's political goals,” the minister added.</p>

The group's operations in Ukraine, the Middle East and Africa "are a threat to global security. That is why we are proscribing this terrorist organisation and continuing to aid Ukraine wherever we can in its fight against Russia,” she said.</p>

<h2><strong>Eyewitness reports</strong></h2>

<p>According to eyewitnesses, the terrorists fired shots from a passing vehicle, which led to one person to suffer from shock.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The injured woman was travelling with her husband and their two young children, ages six and nine, when the attack took place. The terrorists opened fire on the family's vehicle from a passing car, which left bullet marks on the family's car.</p>

I stopped 20 metres ahead, and the vehicle returned to its lane and began moving towards me. Two metres away from us, he crossed the line, blocked me, and the traveller exited with an M-16 weapon and began firing."</p>

<p>"My wife shouted, 'It's a terror attack, go into reverse, escape!' and the terrorists' vehicle drove straight towards Shechem."</p>

<p>The victim, who suffered light injuries from broken glass, was fully conscious and treated at the scene by Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics before being transported to the hospital.</p>

<p>MDA paramedic, Yonatan Shenbai, told Israel National News that upon their arrival at the scene they "saw the vehicle, which showed signs of gunshots. In the vehicle were four people - a man, a woman, and two children ages six and nine. By a miracle, only one of the travellers, a woman,&nbsp;31, suffered light injuries from broken glass. We provided her with medical treatment at the scene and evacuated her to the hospital."</p>

<p>"An Israeli civilian was lightly injured by shrapnel, and a number of hits to a vehicle were identified. IDF soldiers are pursuing the terrorists," they said.&nbsp;As a security measure, the entrances to the Shechem (Nablus) area have been blocked off.&nbsp;<br />

<p>"Today around 4 am (0100 GMT), drone strikes on two non-residential buildings were reported. There is no serious destruction or casualties."&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Russian news agency TASS, one of the drones fell in Komsomolsky Prospekt, close to Russia's defence ministry while another&nbsp;hit a business centre on Likhacheva Street, near one of the main ring roads.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The defence ministry released a statement in the aftermath and said it had "suppressed" the two Ukrainian drones, adding that it was a "terrorist act" on the Russian capital by Kyiv.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"A Kyiv regime attempt to carry out a terrorist act using two drones on objects on the territory of the city of Moscow was stopped," Russia's defence ministry said. "Two Ukrainian drones were suppressed and crashed. There are no casualties."</p>

<p>A video of the business centre was posted by RIA Novosti which showed visible damage to the top of the multi-storey building. As a precautionary measure, the authorities sealed the road around it.</p>

Drone strikes hit two buildings in Moscow, Russia calls it a 'terrorist act'

<p>At least seven people were injured, with four in serious condition, in Israel’s Tel Aviv following a car-ramming and stabbing incident, with police deeming it to be a “terrorist” attack.</p>

<p>The incident took place on Tuesday morning at Pinkhas Rosen Street. The attacker rammed his pickup truck into people on a sidewalk in the coastal city, then got out and stabbed others, police said, according to the Times of Israel newspaper.</p>

<p>The assailant was then "neutralised" at the scene by a civilian first responder, an Israeli police spokesperson told Israel's Army Radio.</p>

<p>Israel Police Tel Aviv District Commander said that the assailant was a Palestinian and a resident of the West Bank. He is said to have acted alone.</p>

<p>The attacker reportedly got into Israel with a medical permit as he was suffering from some mental illness, Jerusalem Post (JP) reported.</p>

<p>On Friday, police gunned down four terrorists in the Kala Jungle of the Machhal sector of Jammu and Kashmir in a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"In a joint operation, Army and Police have killed four #terrorists in Kala Jungle of Machhal sector in #Kupwara who were trying to infiltrate to our side from POJK," Jammu and Kashmir police said in a tweet.</p>

<p>The police in an official statement, said that huge quantities of drugs and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists.</p>

Terrorist killed in encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam

<p>The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has attached 17 properties of Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Ahmed Shah Watali. According to the NIA, Watali has been involved in the Hurriyat terror funding case. Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief and separatist leader Yasin Malik is currently serving life imprisonment in connection with the case.</p>

<p>“Besides Yasin Malik, 17 others, including Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, amir of Jamaat-ud-Dawah &amp; top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Mohammed Yusuf Shah aka Syed Salahuddin, top Commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, were charge-sheeted in the case, which had been registered suo moto by the NIA on 30&nbsp;May 2017. Malik was convicted in all the various charges against him, and sentenced to life imprisonment and fine, in the case in May 2022,” said National Investigation Agency.&nbsp;<br />

According to the NIA, the case relates to terrorist and secessionist activities in Jammu &amp; Kashmir carried out by proscribed ISI-backed organisations, such as LeT, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) etc. These outfits were spreading terror and perpetrating violence in the Valley by promoting and conducting attacks on civilians and security forces.<br />

“Seventeen properties belonging to Watali in the Handwara area of Kupwara in Kashmir have been attached by the NIA on orders by Special NIA Court, Patiala House, under section 33(1) of the UA(P) Act today,” said NIA.&nbsp;<br />

These banned terrorist groups were using the All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) as a front for carrying out and supporting secessionist activities in Kashmir. Investigations in the case have revealed that the secessionists, arraigned as accused in the case, including from the APHC, had entered into a criminal conspiracy and adopted a strategy of instigating the general public to create a supercharged atmosphere in the Kashmir Valley. NIA added that Watali had been sending the funds raised by him from various sources to the Hurriyat leaders to promote the secessionist activities in Jammu &amp; Kashmir.<br />

“NIA investigations have revealed that Watali was a Hawala conduit, who was receiving money from Hafiz Saeed, a ‘Specially Designated Global Terrorist’ of the United States and a ‘listed global terrorist’ of the UN. Hafiz Saeed had masterminded the 2001 Parliament attack and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. He had received foreign remittances into a bank account running into crores between 2011 and 2013 from various sources. Besides, he had received foreign remittances in his proprietorship firm named M/s ‘Trisson International’, Srinagar and unexplained remittances were also found in his NRE Bank accounts,“ said NIA.&nbsp;<br />
&nbsp;<br />
The NIA said that Watali had shown the sale of a plot of land, purportedly owned by Watali’s company, M/s ‘Trison Farms and Constructions Pvt. Ltd.’ to one Naval Kishore Kapoor, a co-accused in the case. However, the investigations found that neither Watali nor his above-mentioned company was the owner of this plot of land. Watali is presently facing trial before the Special NIA Court in New Delhi.</p>

Malik was convicted in all the various charges against him, and sentenced to life imprisonment and fine, in the case in May 2022,” said National Investigation Agency. According to the NIA, the case relates to terrorist and secessionist activities in Jammu & Kashmir carried out by proscribed ISI-backed organisations, such as LeT, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) etc. These outfits were spreading terror and perpetrating violence in the Valley by promoting and conducting attacks on civilians and security forces. “Seventeen properties belonging to Watali in the Handwara area of Kupwara in Kashmir have been attached by the NIA on orders by Special NIA Court, Patiala House, under section 33(1) of the UA(P) Act today,” said NIA. These banned terrorist groups were using the All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) as a front for carrying out and supporting secessionist activities in Kashmir. Investigations in the case have revealed that the secessionists, arraigned as accused in the case, including from the APHC, had entered into a criminal conspiracy and adopted a strategy of instigating the general public to create a supercharged atmosphere in the Kashmir Valley. NIA added that Watali had been sending the funds raised by him from various sources to the Hurriyat leaders to promote the secessionist activities in Jammu & Kashmir. “NIA investigations have revealed that Watali was a Hawala conduit, who was receiving money from Hafiz Saeed, a ‘Specially Designated Global Terrorist’ of the United States and a ‘listed global terrorist’ of the UN. Hafiz Saeed had masterminded the 2001 Parliament attack and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. He had received foreign remittances into a bank account running into crores between 2011 and 2013 from various sources. Besides, he had received foreign remittances in his proprietorship firm named M/s ‘Trisson International’, Srinagar and unexplained remittances were also found in his NRE Bank accounts,“ said NIA. The NIA said that Watali had shown the sale of a plot of land, purportedly owned by Watali’s company, M/s ‘Trison Farms and Constructions Pvt. Ltd.’ to one Naval Kishore Kapoor, a co-accused in the case. However, the investigations found that neither Watali nor his above-mentioned company was the owner of this plot of land. <p>Police in India's Jammu and Kashmir arrested a terrorist belonging to Lashkar-e-Taeba outfit, officials said on Saturday.</p>

<p>"On specific information regarding the movement of terrorists in village Nagbal Chandoosa, a joint MVCP was established by Police &amp; Army (52RR) at Shranz Crossing Nagbal Chandoosa. During checking, one suspected person who was coming from Shrunz towards Nagbal Chandoosa tried to flee after noticing a joint naka party but was apprehended tactfully," a police spokesperson said in an official statement.</p>

<p>The arrested terrorist has been identified as Mohd Ashraf Mir, a resident of Laridoora Chandoosa locality, reports in the local media said.</p>

<p>During the search, one grenade was recovered from his possession.</p>

Indian security forces nab Lashkar terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir, seize grenade

<p>Belgian police on Thursday arrested seven people suspected of supporting the Islamic State (IS) group and plotting a "terrorist attack", prosecutors said.</p>

<p>Almost all the suspects are ethnic Chechens, and three of them possess Belgian nationality, prosecutors said in a statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The exact target of the planned attack has not yet been determined," they said.</p>

<p>Police, backed by elite units, raided nine addresses in several towns in western Belgium in an operation led by an investigating judge specialised in terrorism cases.</p>

<p>The judge will decide "at a later stage" if there is sufficient evidence to charge the suspects, the statement said.</p>

<p>"Possible charges are attempted terrorist assassination, participation in the activities of a terrorist group and preparation of a terrorist attack," it said.</p>

<p>Prosecutors added that all seven arrested "are suspected of preparing a terrorist attack in Belgium".</p>

<p>They all "belong to a group of strong supporters of the IS".</p>

<p>A spokesman for the federal prosecutors' office, Eric Van Duyse, told AFP that "they apparently intended to target an institution located in Belgium" and had been "actively searching for weapons".</p>

<p>The police raids took place in the city of Ghent and the smaller towns of Roeselare, Menen, Ostend and Wevelgem.</p>

<p>The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for suicide bombings in Belgium on March 22, 2016 that targeted Brussels' airport and the capital's metro, killing 32 people and wounding hundreds.</p>

Belgium arrests foil suspected jihadist 'terrorist attack'

<p>Two terrorists from the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit were killed in an encounter in the Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Both the terrorists are locals and have been identified as Shakir Majid and Hanan Ahmad.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, a joint cordon and search operation was launched in Wanigam Payeen, Kreeri area of Baramulla by the police, Army (29RR) and SSB (2nd Bn).&nbsp;During the search operation, as the joint search party approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired indiscriminately. The&nbsp;joint search party retaliated, leading to an encounter.</p>

<p>“In the ensuing encounter, two&nbsp;local terrorists linked with proscribed terrorist outfit LeT were killed and their bodies were retrieved from the site of the encounter. They have been identified as Shakir Majid Najar and Hanan Ahmad Seh, both residents of Shopian,” said Jammu and Kashmir Police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per police records, both the killed terrorists had recently joined terrorist ranks and were planning to carry out a terrorist attack in the area, which was timely neutralised.</p>

<p>“Incriminating materials, arms &amp; ammunition including one AK-47 rifle and one pistol were recovered from the site of the encounter. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation,” said Jammu and Kashmir Police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>ADGP Kashmir congratulated the joint team of police and security forces for conducting a successful operation without any collateral damage and termed it a big success as the killed terrorists were planning to carry out terrorist attacks in the area.</p>

<p>This is the second operation in the last 24 hours in the Kashmir Valley. Four&nbsp;terrorists have been killed in these two operations in the Valley ahead of the G20 meet to be held in Srinagar. The union territory has been put on high alert.&nbsp;</p>
