India will raise the grave threats, issued by Canada-based Khalistani terrorist outfit Sikhs For Justice's chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, with Canada. In an unsettling and alarming video message, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the head of Canada-based Khalistani terrorist outfit, has issued a chilling threat to the Indian government and Air India while urging Sikhs to abstain from flying on Air India planes on and after November 19 citing a potential threat to their lives. He further threatened that the final match of the ‘World Terror Cup’ will be played on Nov 19.

While responding to a question from the Hindustan Times, India’s High Commissioner to Ottawa Sanjay Kumar Verma said, “We shall take up the threat against Air India flights originating from and terminating in Canada, with the concerned Canadian authorities.”

The report said that India will seek for heightened security for Air India flights.

“We have studied the contents of the video, which is in clear violation of Chicago Convention, which lays out a framework for international civil aviation operations," the envoy added.

Verma, as per HT, also pointed out that the bilateral civil aviation agreement between both nations consists of provisions that can be invoked to tackle these threats.

WION also sought a response from the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs if they have taken note of Pannun's threats to blow up an AI flight on Nov 19.

Acknowledging the question asked by WION, "Is the Canadian government planning any action on this threat?" the authorities responded by saying they would be looking into the matter. However, as of now, specific details are still awaited.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun had said, "We are asking Sikhs not to fly AI on 19th November. There will be a global blockade, and AI will not be allowed to fly anywhere across the world on 19th November. Sikhs, you do not travel by AI after the 19th. It can be life-threatening."

The warning is alarming since Khalistani terrorists had bombed Air India's Boeing 747 'Kanishka' flight from Toronto to India in 1985, killing 329 passengers, including 268 Canadian citizens of Indian origin and 24 Indians.

Threat for airport closure

Pannun also issued a warning to the Government of India, saying, "The Indira Gandhi International Airport should remain closed on the 19th of November."

“It is the same day on which the final match of the World Terror Cup will be played. It will be shown to the world that a genocide of Sikhs happened in India and India did it. When we will liberate Punjab, the name of these airports will be Shahid Beant Singh and Shahid Satwant Singh Airport,” he added.

Drone strikes hit two buildings in Moscow, Russia calls it a 'terrorist act'

At least seven people were injured, with four in serious condition, in Israel’s Tel Aviv following a car-ramming and stabbing incident, with police deeming it to be a “terrorist” attack.

The incident took place on Tuesday morning at Pinkhas Rosen Street. The attacker rammed his pickup truck into people on a sidewalk in the coastal city, then got out and stabbed others, police said, according to the Times of Israel newspaper.

The assailant was then "neutralised" at the scene by a civilian first responder, an Israeli police spokesperson told Israel's Army Radio.

Israel Police Tel Aviv District Commander said that the assailant was a Palestinian and a resident of the West Bank. He is said to have acted alone.

The attacker reportedly got into Israel with a medical permit as he was suffering from some mental illness, Jerusalem Post (JP) reported.

עדכונים פיגוע בצפון תל אביב! > הפיגוע ברחוב פנחס רוזן. > כ-7 נפגעים קשה. > דיווחים על 2 זירות. תיעוד הזירה ורכב המחבל שדרס: pic.twitter.com/sGvOCNRu3M — יענקי כהן | Yanki Coen (@yankicoen) July 4, 2023 × Meanwhile, among the injured, one, a 46-year-old woman, is said to be in a serious condition, while two others in their thirties are in moderate condition and another two are in light condition. Terrorist killed in encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has attached 17 properties of Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Ahmed Shah Watali. According to the NIA, Watali has been involved in the Hurriyat terror funding case. Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief and separatist leader Yasin Malik is currently serving life imprisonment in connection with the case.

“Besides Yasin Malik, 17 others, including Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, amir of Jamaat-ud-Dawah & top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Mohammed Yusuf Shah aka Syed Salahuddin, top Commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, were charge-sheeted in the case, which had been registered suo moto by the NIA on 30 May 2017. Malik was convicted in all the various charges against him, and sentenced to life imprisonment and fine, in the case in May 2022,” said National Investigation Agency.

According to the NIA, the case relates to terrorist and secessionist activities in Jammu & Kashmir carried out by proscribed ISI-backed organisations, such as LeT, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) etc. These outfits were spreading terror and perpetrating violence in the Valley by promoting and conducting attacks on civilians and security forces.

“Seventeen properties belonging to Watali in the Handwara area of Kupwara in Kashmir have been attached by the NIA on orders by Special NIA Court, Patiala House, under section 33(1) of the UA(P) Act today,” said NIA.

These banned terrorist groups were using the All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) as a front for carrying out and supporting secessionist activities in Kashmir. Investigations in the case have revealed that the secessionists, arraigned as accused in the case, including from the APHC, had entered into a criminal conspiracy and adopted a strategy of instigating the general public to create a supercharged atmosphere in the Kashmir Valley. NIA added that Watali had been sending the funds raised by him from various sources to the Hurriyat leaders to promote the secessionist activities in Jammu & Kashmir.

“NIA investigations have revealed that Watali was a Hawala conduit, who was receiving money from Hafiz Saeed, a ‘Specially Designated Global Terrorist’ of the United States and a ‘listed global terrorist’ of the UN. Hafiz Saeed had masterminded the 2001 Parliament attack and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. He had received foreign remittances into a bank account running into crores between 2011 and 2013 from various sources. Besides, he had received foreign remittances in his proprietorship firm named M/s ‘Trisson International’, Srinagar and unexplained remittances were also found in his NRE Bank accounts,“ said NIA.

The NIA said that Watali had shown the sale of a plot of land, purportedly owned by Watali’s company, M/s ‘Trison Farms and Constructions Pvt. Ltd.’ to one Naval Kishore Kapoor, a co-accused in the case. However, the investigations found that neither Watali nor his above-mentioned company was the owner of this plot of land. Watali is presently facing trial before the Special NIA Court in New Delhi.
