A 12-year-old girl from Texas reportedly shot her father and then herself in a murder pact that she made with another girl, who was also supposed to kill her family.

The incident took place last Tuesday at 11.30 pm (local time) at a home in Weatherford, Parker County Sheriff's Office said in a press release last Thursday.

The girl’s body was found on the street with a gunshot wound to the head and the weapon in her hand, while the father, 38, was inside the house with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

According to authorities, the girl shot her father, went outside and then shot herself, the sheriff's office said.

The father-daughter duo was later taken to local hospitals by air ambulance. Their conditions were not known till Monday morning, reported CNN.

The investigators claimed that the shootings were part of a murder plot the girl made with another kid weeks ago in Lufkin (about 230 miles (370 km) southeast of Weatherford).

They had planned to kill their families and then run away together to Georgia, the police alleged.

However, the girl in Lufkin, whose age was not revealed, did not go through with the plan. It is being investigated as to how the two girls knew each other.

According to the sheriff’s office, the Lufkin girl was charged with criminal conspiracy. Though it is known whether the injured 12-year-old faces any criminal action.

Lufkin Police are also probing the incident, the release stated.

The names of the juvenile suspects and their families have not been revealed by the Parker County Sheriff's Office in order to protect their identities.

However, another event that was happening outside the Gurudwara is being dubbed as the spot where the skirmish happened. The Gurudwara, in a Facebook post, stated that they had no connection with the incident.&nbsp;

"The weightlifting competition was done successfully without any altercation and harm to the Sangat. The altercation during this event happened outside the Gurdwara and had no link to the powerlifting event and the Gurdwara Sahib." the Gurudwara said.&nbsp;

"Stockton Police Department is currently investigating the occurrence and Stockton Gurdwara Sahib Committee will update you as soon as the investigation is completed. Gurdwara Sahib Stockton is committed to the safety of the Sangat.” it further added.

In the 40-shot final, the 46-year-old from Uttar Pradesh shot 37 to finish ahead of Korea's Minsu Kim (36) and Britain's Ben Llewellin (26), who won the silver and bronze respectively.

The shooter shot 119/125 over two days of qualifying before coming through in a five-way shoot-off enroute his maiden individual gold. The two-time Olympian, who is the oldest member of the Indian contingent in Changwon this year, had won a silver at the 2016 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro.

Earlier in the day, the trio of Anjum Moudgil, Ashi Chouksey, and Sift Kaur Samra won bronze in the women's 50m rifle 3P team event. The Indians outplayed the Austrian team of Sheileen Waibel, Nadine Ungerank, and Rebecca Koeck 16-6 in the bronze medal match to comfortably secure a podium finish.

According to public broadcaster DR, at least three people were being treated in hospital.

Eyewitnesses quoted by Danish media said they saw more than 100 people rush towards the mall's exit as the first shots were heard.

"We could see that many people suddenly ran towards the exit and then we heard a bang. Then we ran out of Field's too," Thea Schmidt, who was in the mall at time of the attack told broadcaster TV2.
