<p>Fauji 2, produced, creatively directed, and conceptualized by Sandeep Singh and co-produced by Vicky Jain and Zafar Mehdi, with Sameer Hallim as the Creative Head, title track by Shreyas Puranik, sung by Sonu Nigam.</p>

<p>Fauji 2 is a story by Vishal Chaturvedi screenplay by Amarnath Jha, dialogues by Anil Choudhary and Chaitanya Tulsyan. The series marks the debut of film director Abhinav Pareek, who previously directed Sab Moh Maaya Hai and A Wedding Story. Fauji 2 also features Nishant Chandrashekhar as a director.</p>

<p>The show will air from 18th November, every Monday-Thursday Prime Time at 9 pm only on DD National and will be broadcast in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Bengali.</p>

<p>However, Shah Rukh Khan’s Diwali magic seems dull when you compare his films performance to some of the highest grossers during Diwali. One such film is Prakash Mehra's <em>Muqaddar Ka Sikandar</em> which released in 1978. The film was such a huge rage when it released on October 27, on Diwali that year&nbsp;that people lined up outside the cinema hall to get the film’s ticket, and it was declared an immediate success.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Why was Muqaddar....such a huge hit?</h2>

<p>What worked possibly for the film – the festive rush, newfound Amitabh Bachchan’s filmy aura and some great storyline. The film earned ₹17 crore in India alone, becoming the year's highest-grossing film. When you adjust inflation and calculate the film’s earning in today’s time, its collections total over Rs 800 crore in 2024, much higher than even the biggest action films such as <em>Pathaan</em>, <em>Jawan</em>, <em>Animal</em>, and <em>Gadar 2</em>.</p>

<p>According to IMDb, <em>Muqaddar Ka Sikandar</em> sold 7 crore tickets in India. Only two films have since crossed this mark - <em>Hum Aapke Hain Koun </em>and <em>Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.&nbsp;</em></p>

<p>In comparison, recent blockbusters like <em>Animal </em>and <em>Jawan </em>sold 3-4 crore tickets domestically.</p>

<p>Shah Rukh Khan admitted that it felt 'good to be back' as he won the Best Actor award at the recently held International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards.<br />

On Saturday night, Khan won the popular award for his role in the 2023 blockbuster<em> Jawan</em>. While accepting his award, Khan referred to his return to movies last year after a hiatus of four&nbsp;years.</p>

<p>"I think I have a little happiness from the audience this year because I worked (again) after a long time," he said to a packed theatre in Abu Dhabi where the IIFA awards were held over the weekend.&nbsp;<br />

He not only won the Best Actor award but also co-hosted the event in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, a city with a large Indian population.&nbsp;"I love awards, I'm greedy about awards," he announced. "I just want to tell you it's good to be back."</p>

<p>Khan's return to the big screen was Bollywood's biggest success story last year. He also starred in the spy film <em>Pathaan</em> which was a blockbuster, as was his last release of the year, <em>Dunki.&nbsp;</em></p>

"I think I have a little happiness from the audience this year because I worked (again) after a long time," he said to a packed theatre in Abu Dhabi where the IIFA awards were held over the weekend. He not only won the Best Actor award but also co-hosted the event in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, a city with a large Indian population. "I love awards, I'm greedy about awards," he announced. "I just want to tell you it's good to be back." Khan's return to the big screen was Bollywood's biggest success story last year. He also starred in the spy film Pathaan which was a blockbuster, as was his last release of the year, Dunki. <p>The who's who of Indian cinema gathered at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, to celebrate the best of work of 2023.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Saturday, the second day of the star-studded event, several biggies of the cine world came together under one roof. And, Shah Rukh took the duty to entertain them all.</p>

<p>Khan, alongside his host buddies Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar, set the IIFA stage ablaze with his dance moves, hilarious moments, and heartwarming gestures.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The King Khan of Bollywood made a dapper entrance on stage in a true heroic style. The actor looked stunning&nbsp;in the black tuxedo featuring a blazer with a white shirt and matching pants.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Throughout the night, Khan gave several unforgettable moments to the audience and his millions of fans, making everyone laugh out loud with his witty banter with Kaushal and his&nbsp;smooth moves on various hit Bollywood tracks.</p>

<p>The highlight of the night was definitely SRK doing a hook step from Kaushal's viral song ''Tauba Tauba'' from the movie <em>Bad News.</em></p>

<p>In one video, Khan and Vicky perform the signature leg step of the hit song, but Khan stops, while Vicky continues to dance with much energy until SRK playfully stops him.&nbsp;</p>

According to a list collated by Fortune India, Kareena has had a staggering income from her successful films, endorsements and business ventures and paid a massive amount in taxes, surpassing all her female counterparts in the film industry.<br />

As per the list, Kareena Kapoor paid Rs 20 crore (Rs 200 million) as income tax.&nbsp; She is followed by actor Kiara Advani who paid ₹12 crore (Rs 120 million). On the third spot is Katrina Kaif, who paid Rs 11 crore (Rs 110 million) in taxes. No other female celebrity features in this year's list.&nbsp;<br />

Kareena was last seen in <em>Crew</em>, which was declared a hit at the box office. The film also featured&nbsp;Kriti Sanon and Tabu in the lead and was directed by Rajesh A Krishnan.</p>

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has topped the list and become the highest tax-paying Indian celebrity of 2024.&nbsp;<br />

As per the list, Khan paid a whopping Rs 92 crore (Rs 920 million) as taxes. Khan had a great year in 2023 and delivered three blockbuster hits ranking in over Rs 2000 crore (Rs 20 billion) globally.&nbsp;<br />

He is followed by Vijay, who paid ₹80 crore (Rs 800 million) as tax. Salman Khan paid ₹75 crore (Rs 750 million) in taxes.</p>

<p>On the work front, Kareena will soon be seen in the upcoming thriller<em> The Buckingham Murders.</em> Co-produced by Ektaa Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures, Hansal Mehta, and Kareena (her debut production), <em>The Buckingham Murders</em> is set in London and explores the character of Kareena, a detective and a working mother, investigating a case. According to a list collated by Fortune India, Kareena has had a staggering income from her successful films, endorsements and business ventures and paid a massive amount in taxes, surpassing all her female counterparts in the film industry. As per the list, Kareena Kapoor paid Rs 20 crore (Rs 200 million) as income tax. She is followed by actor Kiara Advani who paid ₹12 crore (Rs 120 million). On the third spot is Katrina Kaif, who paid Rs 11 crore (Rs 110 million) in taxes. No other female celebrity features in this year's list. Kareena was last seen in Crew, which was declared a hit at the box office. The film also featured Kriti Sanon and Tabu in the lead and was directed by Rajesh A Krishnan. <p>Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed his next big project,<em> King.</em> On Saturday (Aug 10), the Bollywood actor was <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/watch-shah-rukh-khan-receives-lifetime-achievement-award-at-77th-locarno-film-festival-749080">honoured</a> with the Pardo Alla Carriera award at the Locarno Film Festival 2024.</p>

<p>During a&nbsp;live interaction at the festival, SRK finally talked about his next action project, which will reportedly star his daughter Suhana Khan.</p>

<p>Spilling beans about his fourthcoming project, Khan talked about the challenges of doing action films.<br />

“Action is difficult, you have to practice it learn it and there are doubles doing some of the dangerous stunts. I have some wonderful guys. But 80% you have to finally do it yourself if you have to sell it truthfully. Otherwise, it doesn’t look right,” he shared.</p>

<p>Adding further, the <em>Pathaan</em> actor went on to confirm his next film, <em>King</em>,<em>&nbsp;</em>with director Sujoy Ghosh, and said that he will be losing weight for action sequences.</p>

<p>"The next film that I'm doing<em> King</em>, I have to start working on it. (I have to) Lose some weight, and stretch a little so my groin doesn't get caught when I'm doing action. It's painful and hurtful. I have a bag full of icing machines. So you keep doing it.''</p>

<p>Elaborating further, SRK&nbsp;told the festival's artistic director Giona A Nazzaro at the session, "It's the worst thing to see me on sets after action. I look really cool in the film. After that I'm tired, somebody is pressing my back, I can't walk, and then suddenly you see people, and you give flying kisses.''</p>

<p>Shah Rukh, 59, further added that now he wants to do films that are relevant to his age, and it's the same idea that he told his director Ghosh.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"There are certain kinds of films that I want to do, maybe it’s more age-centric and I have wanted to try something since six-seven years. I've been thinking about it and I mentioned it to Sujoy one day while we were sitting. He works with us at our office, he’s made some films for us. He said, 'Sir, I have a subject'," he recalled.</p>

<p>Khan also revealed that he will wrap up the filming of <em>King</em> in 2025.&nbsp;<br />

<p>SRK started by saying that the trophy was "very heavy" and kept it aside. He then went on to thank the audience for their warm welcome. "I want to thank you all for welcoming me with such wide arms, wider than the ones I do on screen in this really pretty, very beautiful, very cultural, very artistic, and extremely hot city of Locarno," SRK said.</p>

<p>He continued, "So many people stuffed up in a little square and so hot, it's just like being home in India. So thank you so much for having me here. It's been a wonderful last two evenings."</p>

<p>During the speech, a fan shouted "I love you", to which SRK replied, "I love you also. All dramatics continue after the serious speech. It's the Locarno Film Festival, we all need to sound intellectual, ok?"</p>
