Following his steep rise in the T20Is, Rinku got picked in the white-ball squad for South Africa, starting with the first T20I in Durban on Sunday (Dec 10). With Rinku and head coach Rahul Dravid working together for the first time, Rinku explained how he felt training with the India veteran.

Upon landing in the Rainbow Nation earlier this week, the Indian players roamed a bit before getting down to business. Detailing his brief experience thus far, Rinku said he felt great sharing the dressing room with re-elected India coach Dravid.

Speaking via BCCI's video on their social media handles, Rinku said,&nbsp;"The weather is beautiful here. We went for a walk after coming here, and then I went into the nets. "It is quite bouncy here in South Africa. You don't get this much bounce in India; it is quite quick as well. I would look to use the pace," Rinku said about the conditions in South Africa.

Sharing his views on gelling well with the young-looking Indian Team, especially in this format, Rinku said,&nbsp;"I have played for Uttar Pradesh since 2013, always at No. 5. It is tough to bat there, but I keep motivating myself. Me, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Jitesh Sharma, and Kuldeep Yadav hang out together. It is important to stay together."&nbsp;

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav will lead in the three T20Is, and KL Rahul will captain the team in the ODIs.&nbsp;

India's young batter Tilak Varma wants to finish games for the team and has been learning the art from Rinku Singh. The batter made the comments on the eve of second T20I against Australia in Thiruvananthapuram on November 25. India had won the first match by two wickets and Tilak scored 12 runs in the game while Rinku finished it with 14-ball 22.

"I like finishing the games," he said. "I am learning [that] from Rinku as he has been doing it very consistently, even for the Indian team. I think in the coming matches I will be doing that."

The left-hand batter, however, is not keeping any expectation with himself and is just looking to fulfill the&nbsp;role given to him by the team.

"My mindset is clear. I have got a role in the team, so I just want to stick to that role. I don't have any pressure or expectations of doing well. I am just looking forward to fulfilling my role for the team," said the batter.

Needing one run of the final ball, bowler Sean Abbott bowled a no-ball that was dispatched by Rinku for the winning six. However, according to International Cricket Council (ICC) laws, the match gets over once the target is reached. Since Abbott’s no-ball turned out to be the winning moment of the match, with the ball yet to touch Rinku’s bat, the latter phase of play was considered irrelevant and the six did not count.

Rinku added he didn't have apt mental and financial support while growing up, but his passion for the game kept him motivated. &nbsp;

"A lot of blood and sweat has gone behind to earn this call. My passion for the sport helped me wade through a lack of support and financial hardships," Rinku said during an interview with Jio Cinema before leaving for Ireland.

"I have seen my family face financial struggles, and I wanted to help them overcome it through cricket. That desire to get them out of the grind kept me going. It kept me motivated to work hard and keep up my efforts."
