Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday (May 1) said that they will hunt down each and every perpetrator behind the deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir&rsquo;s Pahalgam that killed 26 people.

Musa and Talha are Pakistanis, while Thoker is a local militant, WION sources revealed citing investigating officers.&nbsp;
According to WION sources, in mid-April, Adil along with another active terrorist reached Pahalgam and conducted a recce of almost all the tourist spots in Pahalgam.&nbsp;

With the help of some OGWs in Pahalgam, they did a recce of all the tourist places of Pahalgam like Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, Amusement Park and Baisaran Valley. In this recce, two local terrorists and five OGWs were involved and were roaming in Pahalgam for about a week.
They initially planned to attack in the Betaab valley, but it was difficult to escape from there because of the movement of security forces around. Something similar happened with the Aru valley which is after the desperate valley and they reached the Baisaran tourist spot.
There were a total of four terrorists, who killed 26 people in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam last week. Two among them were wearing camouflage and the other two were in civilian dress. The sources also revealed that only three terrorists came inside the Baisaran meadow and the fourth one was giving cover fire.&nbsp;
Moreover, a senior Army source said that there were reports that "some suspicious persons had visited some hotels in Pahalgam...(We) were gathering clues as there was no specific information about attacks on tourists."&nbsp;
Army officials said the infiltrators in Pir Panjal mountains in south Kashmir were using several apps for navigation and communication "that can store data online and later use it offline as well", as per WION sources.&nbsp;
As of now, police continue to raid and interrogate suspects in Kashmir Valley. A senior police officer said they had started a fresh verification of non-locals, including laborers, students and employees, who are present in Kashmir.

"We have announced a 10-day break for all madrassas in Kashmir," said Hafiz Nazeer Ahmed, head of the local religious affairs department.
According to a department source, it was "due to tensions at the border and the potential for conflict".
Moreover, the emergency service workers in Muzaffarabad are also bracing for a "possible attack" by India. The workers have begun training schoolchildren on what to do if India attacks.

Pakistan shuts more than 1,000 madrasas amid fears of military action from India

The National Investigation Director General Sadanand Date reached the Baisaran attack site in Pahalgam today where he took stock of the current investigation in the terror attack case. The 3D mapping of the area is being done to get a better representation of the attack and plan of the terrorists.&nbsp;
A team of about 45 NIA officials has been put on the terror attack case of Pahalgam. Two teams of FSL and security forces are camping in the area while the 3D mapping is being done.&nbsp;
Security forces are carrying out a massive combing operation on the tenth day of the attack. Intensified search operations are being carried out in Pahalgam, Kokernag, Anantnag, Dachigam forest areas. Security forces say that around a dozen over the ground workers(OGW'S) were involved in helping the terrorists carry out the attack. According to sources, these OGW's facilitated the entry and exit of the terrorists and also had done a recce of the area.&nbsp;

Some of the eyewitnesses have said that four terrorists were involved in the attack while only three of them came inside the meadow while the fourth was outside the fence keeping a cover. Two of the terrorists were wearing army camouflage uniforms.&nbsp; According to sources in the investigation agency, the terrorists had done a recce of all the tourist points of Pahalgam like Aaru Valley, Betaab Valley and Baisaran. Sources say the terrorists had earlier planned to target Betaab Valley, but at the last moment they changed the plan and decided on Baisaran. It was chosen as they could flee from the spot easily.
At least 65 foreign and 14 local terrorists are active in the Kashmir valley. The terrorists keep moving from south of Kashmir to north of Kashmir through the mountains from the Pir Panjal range to Shamsawari range. &nbsp;

The banned YouTube channels included Pakistani media outlets such as Dawn News, Samaa TV, Ary News, Geo News. Former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar's YouTube channel, which had&nbsp;over 3.5 million subscribers, also came under government's radar and was blocked.&nbsp;
Earlier, On Monday (April 21), India javelin star Neeraj Chopra said that Arshad Nadeem has been invited to compete in the inaugural event, which is being organised by Neeraj Chopra in Bengaluru on May 24.
"I have invited Arshad, and he has informed me that he will call me back after consulting his coach. So far, he has not confirmed participation," Chopra said in an interview with the media.

Also not to forget, just three days after the attack, Pakistan's deputy PM called the terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam attack, "freedom fighters".&nbsp;
"Those who carried out attacks in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam district on April 22 might be freedom fighters," he said.
He also threatened to attack as he said that Pakistan would respond with a similar retort. "If Pakistan is attacked directly, a tit-for-tat reply will be given," he added.

<h2>'Child's hunger'&nbsp;</h2>
The family described their ordeal, saying that they reached the top of meadows after a tough, muddy hour-long horse ride, where they spent some time sightseeing and were about to go for the adventure activity zone.&nbsp;
However, their son Siddhant felt hungry and insisted on stopping to eat first.&nbsp;
"Around 1:45 pm, we thought of going there. But my son said he was hungry. We tried to convince him that we could eat before leaving. But he was adamant. So we headed towards the makeshift food stalls. We ordered Maggi," Pradeep told NDTV.&nbsp;

He added, "My wife then went to the washroom, about 500 metres away. It was a pay-and-use toilet, so she returned, took the money, and went again. By that time, we had eaten, and she hurriedly ate."
After 15-20 seconds, they saw two guys with big guns and they were shooting continuously, Pradeep said, adding that one terrorist went towards the lower part of the Valley and another headed towards them.&nbsp;

<h2>'Bullet touched her hair'</h2>
"Initially, we did not realise what was happening. Then we lay down. At this point, my wife thought of getting my bag, which was on the table. Our IDs and phones were in it. She got up to take the bag and felt something go past her right ear. It was a bullet," Pradeep said.
Shubha then realised that the IDs and phones were left on the table, but she instinctively got up to grab the bag. In that moment as she leaned forward to take the bag, a bullet whizzed past her right ear, grazing her hair.&nbsp;
"Something touched my hair," Shubha recalled. "I didn&rsquo;t realise it was a bullet at first, but the force made me turn &mdash; I saw it had hit the floor. God saved me."
Pradeep said that he didn't realise at that time that it was a terrorist attack, but recalled that someone shouted and asked people to run.&nbsp;
"I was 100 per cent sure we were going to die," Pradeep said. "But my wife just kept saying &lsquo;Nothing will happen&rsquo;. That confidence, I think, kept us going."

A Pune-based man has claimed that he has video of the terrorists in Pahalgam's Baisaran valley that he accidentally captured while filming his daughter's reel. He has shared the video with the National Investigative Agency (NIA) for probe, he said.
In the video, a child can be seen dancing when two men - who allegedly carried out the attack - were seen. The man claimed that he identified the men after J&amp;K Police released their sketches and decided to share the evidence with the investigative agencies. The Pune man has identified himself as social activist Sreejit Rameshan, who along with his family went on a tour to Pahalgam but fortunately, returned before the fatal attack happened.
&ldquo;We started receiving frantic calls and messages from worried friends and relatives,&rdquo; Rameshan told Punekar News. He added that the video was captured at 02:38 pm on April 18. He further claimed that the men in his video are similar to the sketches released by the administration. "The resemblance was unmistakable." He sent the video to NIA demanding a thorough verification &ldquo;purely in the interest of national safety&rdquo;.&nbsp;

<h2>Conservative and Labour MPs support India</h2>
Both Conservative and Labour MPs overwhelmingly supported India and called for justice. British Conservative MP Bob Blackman condemned the attack and called on the UK government to provide full support to India in its fight against cross-border terrorism. Blackman described the 22 April terror attack as &ldquo;well organised and coordinated&rdquo;. &ldquo;The sad reality is this: whilst the government may give expressions of condolences and support for the people of India, the fact remains that the terrorist bases that exist in the part of Kashmir, illegally occupied by Pakistan."
Earlier on April 25, Blackman addressed an event at India House and backed India for any steps it takes to pursue justice. &ldquo;I would strongly support whatever India does to pursue the terrorists and those who have backed the terrorists, make sure they are brought to justice. If they can't be brought to justice, they must be eliminated,&rdquo; he had said.
Labour Party MP Catherine West who is also Minister for the Indo-Pacific, said the UK &ldquo;stands shoulder to shoulder with India in the face of the cowardly attacks of terrorism against innocent civilians.&rdquo; Another Labour MP Barry Gardiner urged a tougher stance on Pakistan and asked: &ldquo;Is it not time to make the support we give to Pakistan conditional on them finally closing down the terrorist training camps that they harbour?&rdquo;

However, they retracted their statement on April 26, claiming that its social media was compromised. However, the Indian government launched a massive crackdown against the terrorists and released sketches of three terrorists who were responsible for the attack. Following the deadly attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level security meeting on Tuesday (29 April) at his residence.
Top officials including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force were present.

Dharamkumar Seeraj: Like everyone else in the world, and especially the people of India and the people of Guyana, the reaction was, of course, one of terror, one of surprise, one of outrage that such a thing could again occur in this modern day. Our President has also expressed his concerns, his regrets and his sympathy with the government and people of India, and he has also stated very clearly that he supports the justice, and he supports India in whatever moves they are going to make to ensure that the perpetrators of this terrorist attack that they are brought to justice.

Dharamkumar Seeraj: You know, in that part of the world, in the West Indies, in South America and the Caribbean especially, we are not exposed. The general population is not exposed to this kind of brutal, heinous terrorist attacks. You know, for us, there's the usual robbery, some amount of violence. So to the extent that we are not exposed, our population generally have a muted response. But the government of Guyana, they're very much aware of what is taking place, and especially people in foreign missions. And India has had a more than its fair share of terrorist attack over the years, and that is why you know, when you come to India, you are made aware of the response, by the way, of the security checks at different levels, at the airport, coming in, going into your hotels, along the highways, at various embassies and so on. It is senseless that you how you can go and murder innocent people. You know, these things don't happen in our part of the world.&nbsp;
Sidhant Sibal: What will be Guyanese position, will they be supporting India?&nbsp;
Dharamkumar Seeraj: It's a matter of who is pro humanity, who is pro peace, who wants to get rid of extremism. So Guyana will support any move made by any country to address the elimination of this kind of terroristic attacks. So we pro peace, we pro dialog, we pro diplomacy in terms of getting all issues resolved, all conflicts resolve. And we as a country, as a nation, as a people, we against any form of terrorism, any form of terroristic attack, whether it's for religious gains, whether it's for territories, whether it's for sovereignty and all of that. So it's a matter of the principle itself. It's not a matter of country. And if India proposed any measures to address terrorism, to make moves and to make suggestions that will target terrorists and terroristic attacks. I'm certain that Guyana, as a country, the government and people of Guyana will support any move that will go to targeting terrorist and terroristic attacks.

Dharamkumar Seeraj: Well, we have had a briefing, high commission of Guyana, along with several other missions, especially in the Caribbean and Latin America, by the Secretary east and joint secretary. So, we were brought up to speed, up to date with the reports and what is being done, and to the extent that we were briefed, that's the extent we give our support. I cannot say whether at President level and the Prime Minister of India level, if there have been further talks, but at our level, at the high Commissioner's level, at the ambassador's level, and at the level with the Joint Secretary and Secretary all the briefing that we have received, we asked some questions, we asked for updates, and of course, we gave our support for any action that will seek to find these terrorists and bring them to justice.
Sidhant Sibal: And India has been very vocal about the issue of terrorism from Pakistan. Was that also part of the conversation because India has already referred in its statement. So, any specific emphasis on that part?
Dharamkumar Seeraj: Well, we were told that they're examining links and at the briefing with the secretary east, and they are looking to identify the terrorists, and I specifically asked the question that we were told also that facial recognition was 100% for two and I specifically asked the questions that, if you have recognized two of these terrorists, have you been able to link them in it to any terror organization? Have you been able to link them to any country, and because this will give you an insight as to where they're operating from, which organisation they belong to, if they do belong to any organisation. And the question is that these are ongoing investigations that will probably yield more concrete results as time go by. So obviously the name of Pakistan was mentioned because the place where this thing happened, you have some amount of ease in those territories. And of course, it's border with Pakistan. So, we understand and appreciate fully well that there will be speculation that you have terrorists' cross border. And once you avail of yourself concrete evidence that these terrorists are linked to any organisation and they are operating within which country, well then, we'll deal with the evidence as they present themselves.&nbsp;
Sidhant Sibal: If India acts on these terror groups, terror groups which India believes are based in Pakistan or Pok will you respect India's right to defence or self-defence?
Dharamkumar Seeraj: we respect every country's right for the protection of the citizen, for the protection of their sovereignty, the protection of their borders, and every country will take steps to ensure that their people are protected, their borders are protected, and they will determine, based on the circumstances, at that particular point in time what action will be taken to protect the people and to protect the country.
