Arathi and her family jumped off their horses and crawled under a fence for safety as panic spread. But nothing could prepare them for what came next. &ldquo;I saw an armed man moving among groups of people, asking them something and then shooting,&rdquo; she said.
Trying to find a safer spot, Arathi hesitated. Her father, however, remained calm and told her to stay where they were. &ldquo;The man came towards us and said &lsquo;Kalima&rsquo;. We didn&rsquo;t understand what he meant. Then he shot my father,&rdquo; she recounted.
<h2>'He pointed the gun at me, then walked away'</h2>
As her father lay bleeding, Arathi held him close, frozen with fear. The attacker pointed the gun at her, and it was only when her sons screamed that he turned and walked away.
She and her children then crawled through the surrounding forest until they reached a nearby resort, where they were secured by the Indian Army.

A day after announcing series of measures against Pakistan in the aftermath of <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/pahalgam-terror-attack-live-updates-jammu-kashmir-let-trf-news-tourists-death-injured-kashmir-bandh-pm-modi-visit-updates-8995660" rel="dofollow">Pahalgam terror attack</a>, India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued a statement detailing out the visa restrictions and asking its citizens in the neighbouring country to return as soon as possible.&nbsp;
The MEA statement provides details on the visa restrictions that were announced by India on Apr 23. The MEA statement said that the deadline for revocation of all existing visas to Pakistani nationals is April 27, 2025. Additionally, medical visas issued to Pakistanis will be valid only till April 29, 2025. India has also clarified that its decision does not apply to the Long Term Visas (LTVs) already issued to Hindu Pakistani nationals and that they remain valid.
India has "strongly" asked its nationals to avoid travelling to Pakistan and advised those currently in Pakistan "to return to India at the earliest."
This comes after India "put in abeyance" the Indus Water Treaty, downgraded diplomatic ties with Pakistan, expelled its diplomats and called back Indian officials from Islamabad and closed Attari border.

Pahalgam terror attack: Indian airlines issue travel advisories after Pakistan announces closure of airspace

In the aftermath of the deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.wionews.com/tags/pahalgam">Pahalgam</a> that killed at least 27, the Indian government held an all-party meeting in New Delhi on Thursday (Apr 24).
