The Mehrauli forest yielded 13 decaying bones and part of a jaw that was thought to belong to the 27-year-old Shraddha.&nbsp;

The report suggests that transnational individuals from Pakistan, Kenya, and Dubai cannot be ruled out.&nbsp;

Khurram's statements were found contradicting to facts&nbsp;as no bullet marks were found on Sharif's car seat.&nbsp;

Last week, Joseph George Sutherland, the suspect was taken into custody by the police. He was charged with two counts of first degree murder. Sutherland was nabbed after the police used DNA technology in the investigation.

Gilmour was an aspiring fashion designer and the daughter of David Gilmour, who co-founded Barrick, which was the world's biggest gold mining company before it was overtaken in 2019 by rival Newmont.

Tice was a family therapist and a mother of four.&nbsp;

The police said two women lived just few kilometres apart in Toronto but they did not know each other.

"The only way that this (case) was solved was advances in science," Toronto police detective Steve Smith told a news conference.

He said police in 2000 had linked the two murders through the suspect's DNA left at the scene.

Then recently, he said, "we were able to use investigative genetic genealogy to narrow down a suspect family. And from there we were able to narrow down a suspect."

Notably, Sutherland was not even a 'person of interest' in the killings when the original investigation took place 39 years ago.

On behalf of the victims' families, Erin's brother Sean McCowan shared their relief after 39 years: "Erin and Susan are finally getting their day."

"This is a day that I, and we, have been waiting almost an entire lifetime for," McCowan said.

Poonam allegedly conspired to kill her husband with the help of her son from a previous marriage. Poonam's ex-husband reportedly died of cancer in 2017. Deepak reportedly agreed to the to help Poonam in executing the hatched plot because Das allegedly harassed his wife.

Later, to hide the crime, they stored the pieces in the fridge just like Aaftab Poonawala in Delhi Shraddha murder case. However, as per media reports, because the body parts had already begun to decompose the inquiry could not continue. The crime branch reportedly examined the CCTV video from the location where the body parts were discovered as part of their inquiry. According to the video, mother and son were doing to and fro on various occasions in the neighbourhood at night. When the police were conducting investigation it was reportedly found that Anjan Das, a resident of Pandav Nagar in east Delhi, had been missing for approximately six months. They discovered that the man's family had not filed any police complaints. Das was reportedly murdered in June by the accused Poonam and Dipak. Poonam and Deepak during interrogation confessed of committing the crime, as per media reports.&nbsp;

The police claimed that after spiking his drink, mother-son killed Das while he was unconscious. Deepak reportedly can be seen roaming about the neighbourhood with a backpack in his hand in startling CCTV footage. He is followed by his mother Poonam. According to the police, they made multiple visits to dispose off the body parts of Das.

The hearing was done today morning at around 10 AM, he added as quoted by ANI news agency.&nbsp; Separate media reports citing sources said a root canal procedure in a section of a jaw, which police have recovered, can play a significant role in establishing Shraddha Walkar's identity. As per reports the police have been keeping in touch with dentists on the matter as according to them, the reports said, Shraddha had undergone the procedure in Mumbai.

ANI also reported that Delhi high court has dismissed a petition seeking transfer of investigation from police to CBI saying that it does not find a single good reason to entertain this plea. Citing sources, a media outlet reported that Delhi Police and forensic officials are now gearing up to conduct a polygraph test on Aaftab after receiving permission from a court on Monday. Additionally, the Police have also reportedly rounded up some drug peddlers who allegedly supplied drugs to Aaftab.&nbsp;

Aaftab was produced in the court today after his five-day police custody which was extended on November 17 ended. This is the third time his police remand has been extended to further the investigation.&nbsp;

Investigators think that Miller and Goodale, both 16 at the time, beat the victim to death with a baseball bat and boasted about it online.

Miller admitted to the police that he had been unhappy with the way Graber had taught Spanish and that the poor grade she had given him had hurt his GPA as a whole.

On Snapchat, Goodale reportedly boasted to a friend about the murder. A witness submitted images of a Snapchat discussion in which the adolescent specifically accused himself and Miller of being responsible for the murder of Graber.

However, according to Miller's attorney Christine Branstad, four search warrants were improperly obtained. She is requesting that the court invalidate all four of them and suppress evidence from Snapchat as well as from her client's home, statements he made to the police, and data gleaned from his phone.

On Wednesday, a judge will hear arguments to determine whether to suppress any of the evidence.

With the help of DNA analysis, historical records and genealogy research, the FBI has identified the alleged "Lady of the Dunes", nearly 50 years after her dismembered body was discovered on a Massachusetts beach.

The victim was Ruth Marie Terry, a 37-year-old native of Tennessee, killed in a 1974 crime that was never solved, the FBI announced Monday at a press conference outside Boston.

"Ruth was a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and mother," FBI special agent Joe Bonavolonta told reporters, urging anyone with information about what he called an "infamous cold case" to come forward.

A new notice from the FBI asking for information regarding Terry's murder featured four images of the now-known victim.

"While we have identified Ruth as the victim of this horrific murder, it does not ease the pain for her family -- nothing can -- but hopefully it answers some questions while we continue to look for her killer," Bonavolonta said.

Since the murder in 1974, detectives have pursued leads ineffectively. They never knew who the victim was, despite having a number of suspects.&nbsp;

On July 26, 1974, Terry's body was discovered on a Cape Cod beach in Provincetown, Massachusetts.&nbsp;

She was likely struck in the head and killed several weeks prior. Bonavolonta revealed that her hands had been severed, perhaps to make her harder to recognise.

A woman in Australia, who has confessed to killing her longtime partner with an axe, previously searched on Google about parts of the body that should be targetted in order to kill a person, according to statement presented to a court in Sydney.

At the time of the murder, the woman had a previous apprehended violence order (AVO) against her after her partner told that she has in past attacked him with a meat cleaver.

The man in turn, had three convictions of use of violence against her.

The woman has pleaded guilty to the murder. She attacked her partner when he was lying down looking at his iPad in September 2020.

Earlier, the woman had made Google searches “can you kill someone with hot boiling water” and “is it really easy to murder somebody with a knife”.

Before the actual murder, she did more searches, one of them was, “What is the fastest part of body to kill someone with the axe.”

The woman kept a cab waiting when she bought a half-axe. Later she sent texts to people that said, “You guys might hear something on the news I might be in prison I can’t deal with it any more.”

After the murder, the woman went to the police and confessed to the crime. But she concocted a story of her partner having drawn out a knife.

Pereira had been working to stop illegal fishing in the Javari Valley indigenous reserve. The reserve has largest concentration of uncontacted tribed on Earth.

Phillips, a freelance journalist for The Guardian, The New York Times and other newspapers, was traveling with him to write a book called "How to Save the Amazon."&nbsp;

Native leaders cooperating with Pereira accused Villar of ordering the expert's death for organising Indigenous patrols that seized lucrative hauls of illegally caught fish.&nbsp;

Brazilian suspect of British journalist's murder granted house arrest

Four men who went missing in the Okmulgee area of Oklahoma in the USA last week have been found dead. The investigation which started off as a missing person case has now turned into a full-blown murder probe as the four middle-aged men have been found dismembered in a local river.&nbsp;

Okmulgee Police Chief Joe Prentice&nbsp;said he hadn't seen a case involving such a level of violence in his career so far.

"I've worked over 80 murders in my career. I have worked murders involving multiple victims. I have worked dismemberments, but this case involves the highest number of victims, and it's a very violent event."

A bystander who saw something unusual in the river alerted the police about it. After the officials arrived, they discovered the bodies with remnants spread in and around the river bank.&nbsp;

Prior to the incident, the men had gathered at Billy Chastain's home before leaving from there on bicycles at around 9 pm. The families lodged a missing person complaint on Monday night or early Tuesday.&nbsp;

According to the police, the males&nbsp;were planning to commit a crime before they left. However, what adds more mystery to the case is the fact that a person whom police spoke to in connection with the cases has gone missing since Saturday night.&nbsp;

Prentice added the said person might be suicidal and that no charges had been brought against him&nbsp;up until now.&nbsp;

US: University of Arizona professor shot on campus by former student, suspect arrested

Hemant Kumar Lohia, the director general of police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir Prisons Department, was found dead at his friend’s residence on Monday. While the police have launched an investigation into the incident, there were suspicions that he was murdered.

The People's Anti-Fascist Force (PAFF), a terror outfit backed by Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the killing.

In a press release, the terror outfit said, “Our special squad carried out an intelligence based operation in Udaiwala, Jammu, eliminating DG of police, prisons department HK Lohia, a high value target.”

The PAFF has further said that it carried out all recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, including attacks on non-locals, and has threatened to carry out more such high-profile operations.

“This is a small gift to their visiting Home Minister amid such a security grid,” the PAFF said, referring to Amit Shah who is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.

A 12-year-old girl from Texas reportedly shot her father and then herself in a murder pact that she made with another girl, who was also supposed to kill her family.

The incident took place last Tuesday at 11.30 pm (local time) at a home in Weatherford, Parker County Sheriff's Office said in a press release last Thursday.

The girl’s body was found on the street with a gunshot wound to the head and the weapon in her hand, while the father, 38, was inside the house with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

According to authorities, the girl shot her father, went outside and then shot herself, the sheriff's office said.

The father-daughter duo was later taken to local hospitals by air ambulance. Their conditions were not known till Monday morning, reported CNN.

The investigators claimed that the shootings were part of a murder plot the girl made with another kid weeks ago in Lufkin (about 230 miles (370 km) southeast of Weatherford).

They had planned to kill their families and then run away together to Georgia, the police alleged.

However, the girl in Lufkin, whose age was not revealed, did not go through with the plan. It is being investigated as to how the two girls knew each other.

According to the sheriff’s office, the Lufkin girl was charged with criminal conspiracy. Though it is known whether the injured 12-year-old faces any criminal action.

Lufkin Police are also probing the incident, the release stated.

The names of the juvenile suspects and their families have not been revealed by the Parker County Sheriff's Office in order to protect their identities.

On February 23, 2020, the accused, holding firearms chased after Arbery, who was passing in front of their homes. Bryan also jumped into the chase and captured on camera how the duo shot Arbery. The duo, who had used a pickup van to go after Arbery, later informed the police they thought he was a thief. However, during the investigation, Arbery’s family said that he was on his routine jog, was unarmed, and had committed no offences.

Arbery’s murder formed a part of a larger national conversation about racial injustice and the deaths of Black individuals without cause, including Breonna Taylor in Kentucky and George Floyd in Minneapolis. The US Justice department also filed federal charges in these two cases.<o:p></o:p>

The first instance that took place was the death of a 62-year-old Afghani man, Mohammad Ahmadi, in November last year.

However, the prosecutors argued, saying that the evidence disproves this and that the wound to her heart was caused by a shit fired from two to 3.5 feet. In addition to this, Mark Swanepoel, the couple’s longstanding hunting companion, claimed that the doctor had unloaded the gun a day before the incident, but Rudolph couldn’t recall if he did this or not.

The dentist was backed by his two adult children, whom he shared with his wife when he was sentenced in February. One of Rudolph's defence attorneys, David Markus, has stated that they will appeal his conviction. He said, "We believe in Larry. We believe in his family."

Rudolph didn’t participate in any voluntary interviews with an FBI agent.

The prosecution said that Rudolph killed his wife to take control of the couple’s money. However, the defence in response said that there was no financial reason for the doctor as he then had a net worth of $15 million. The dentist declared that his wife and he consented to an open marriage.

It is often said that reality is stranger than fiction. An incident from the Indian&nbsp;state of Uttar Pradesh may just prove the above adage even more accurately. Reportedly, a man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the murder of his wife. However, as it turns out, the wife was alive and living at her sister’s home.&nbsp;

The victim named Kandhai got married to Ramvati in 2006. Both hailed from the same village named Jamapur. However, on one fine spring day in February 2009, Ramvati, mysteriously went missing as Kandhai and other family members&nbsp;searched for her.

Later, as it happens in most such cases, suspicion was cast on Kandhai, the husband. The&nbsp;family members of Ramvati lodged a complaint against him for kidnapping and murder. Over the course of&nbsp;next eight years,&nbsp;Kandhai found himself in the middle of a legal battle, for a crime&nbsp;he didn’t commit.

The court in 2017 even sentenced him to a prison term of 10 years. Thereafter, Kandhai moved the High court and managed to get bail after serving six years in prison.

However, the tag of a kidnapper and murderer still lay with Kandhai. But all changed last week on Saturday when one of&nbsp;Kandhai’s relatives spotted his wife Ramvati at her sister and brother-in-law’s home.&nbsp;

“Kandhai later informed his other relatives who reached the spot, only to be joined by the entire village population outside the residence of Ramvati’s brother-in-law to witness the impossible,” the police stated.

What Kandhai and the entire village saw there, left them astonished. Ramvati was alive and present before them in flesh and blood. A police team, including women officers, led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Ramgaon, Sanjay Singh arrived at the spot and confirmed the ‘discovery’.

Praveen Nettaru, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha district executive committee, was killed and the police are looking into several explanations including the involvement of attackers from the nearby state of Kerala. As per police, after shutting his store, late on Tuesday (July 26), the victim,32, was on his way home when he was fatally attacked, PTI reported.<o:p></o:p>

As soon as the victim was attacked, he tried to escape and run but after taking a hit to the head, he collapsed, officials said. Locals called the police right away who reached the spot immediately and took the victim to the hospital, where the staff pronounced him dead. Following this instance, a demonstration organised by BJP and several other Hindu organisations, against the killing was held in front of the hospital.
