Kelly Clarkson has filed a new lawsuit against her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, and his father's management company, Starstruck Entertainment, in a Los Angeles court on Monday. This comes months after Clarkson won her first case against Blackstock.

The new lawsuit is expected to dig deeper than the previous one, with Clarkson accusing Blackstock and Starstruck Entertainment of violating California labour laws. She seeks a ruling that they have been operating as an "unlicensed talent agency," arranging business deals on her behalf since 2007, in violation of the Talent Agencies Act.

The court filing obtained by Page Six states, "Based on the wrongful acts and conduct of Starstruck … all agreements between the parties should be declared void and unenforceable … and all monies previously paid by cross-complainants to Starstruck should be disgorged from Starstruck, forthwith."

Clarkson claims that she should receive a full refund for all the money she paid Starstruck Entertainment since 2007, including commissions, fees, profit, advances, production fees, and any other money.

Blackstock was found in violation of California labour laws in November 2023 and was not allowed to take part in deals for The Voice, Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL), Wayfair, or Billboard Music Awards (BMA). He has appealed the decision.

In response to the lawsuit, Bryan Freedman, Blackstock's attorney, provided a statement to Rolling Stone, saying, “It is morally, ethically, and legally wrong to attempt to get monies back from your ex-husband who not only helped her as her manager but who used those earnings on their children and Kelly and Brandon’s lifestyle during the marriage.”

In 2020, Clarkson was sued by Starstruck Management Group. In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles, the management company asserted that the singer owes her long-time managers $1.4 million in commission. &nbsp;

"I really wanted to be in Montana, but you can’t really do a show from there quite yet. So I was like, ‘The only other option would probably be New York.'"

The Grammy-winning singer relocated her daytime show for its fifth season to the East Coast, as her studio is located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

"At this point, I’m 40 years old. Mama rented something nice!" Clarkson remarked. "I was like, ‘I’m not living here unless it’s right by the park and really nice for the kids.’"

Clarkson shares two kids with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. The former couple married in 2013, and she filed for divorce in 2020 after seven years of marriage.&nbsp;

The singer stated that her divorce was part of the reason she decided to flee Los Angeles. She added that she’s the happiest she’s been in a long time with her divorce behind her.&nbsp;

"… full disclosure, I put on a smile a lot of those times because I was struggling a lot in my personal life," Clarkson shared with USA Today. "I've learned a lot about what I'm capable of handling, and also what you should not handle. That was me saying 'bye' to 'The Voice' and having this big move. I love that family, but I was like, 'I'm struggling. I can't smile anymore. I don't feel like smiling.’"

Camila Cabello has announced that she will be joining the panel of coaches on NBC's 'The Voice' for its upcoming 22nd season. As per Variety, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter made the news public on Sunday morning through a post on TikTok, in which she conducts and sings alongside footage of Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Blake Shelton, who have been serving as coaches on `The Voice` alongside host Carson Daly.

Captioning the post `See you this fall,` Cabello`s involvement was also confirmed by NBCUniversal. Having featured as a part-time advisor on the show`s 21st season, she is now joining as a full-time coach for the first time on the show.

Stefani has been a full-time coach for `The Voice` for five of the show`s 21 seasons, but with no consecutive seasons. Legend has maintained his full-time coaching term since attending the show in Season 16 of Spring 2019. Meanwhile, Shelton has been on the show since its premiere in 2011 and has been a full-time coach for all 21 seasons.

In the petition, Clarkson noted that Starstruck evaded "the licensing requirements" set forth by the Talent Agencies Act by listing their alleged violations, including that they failed to submit a written application for a license, failed to write a formal talent agency agreement with her, demanded "unconscionable fees and compensation" from her for "illegal services," gave her false information in regards to their engagements, failed to deposit a $50,000 surety bond with the Labor Commissioner, failed to post a schedule of fees in their offices, failed to maintain proper records and failed to post a copy of the Talent Agencies Act in their offices.

She further claimed that both Brandon, 43, and Narvel, 64, acted as unlicensed talent agents.

Clarkson further argued that she doesn't have to pay Starstruck the commission they're seeking and that any money she previously paid to them should be returned. She also stated that she is "entitled to a full and complete accounting" from them of all money they received "directly or indirectly" from all contracts, employment or engagements pertaining to her in any way. 
In their original lawsuit, Starstruck claimed that despite their "hard work and dedication" to Clarkson's career over the past 13 years, she decided "to stop paying Starstruck for what is contractually owed."

In separate court documents, Clarkson asked that Starstruck's case against her be suspended until after her Labor Commission proceedings happen because if she wins, all of the claims made against her in the case will be "moot."
