According to ancient Indian text&nbsp;<em>Krishna Yajurveda’s Vaikhanas Grihya Sutram,&nbsp;</em>an individual becomes <em>‘Drishta Sahasrachandro’</em> or the one who has seen one thousand full moons when he completes the age of 80 years and eight months.</p>

<p>Since a person crossing this stage of life is celebrated and honoured, an elaborate set of Vedic rituals are performed. During one of the rituals, there is a custom of donations of 10 different kinds. The box carries those items which are usually donated after the ritual.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It also has a diya (oil lamp), handcrafted by artisans from the family of fifth-generation silversmiths in Kolkata. A diya is used in every Hindu household. A cotton wick dipped in oil is put inside the lamp and lit up during prayers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per Kirby, improving the relationship between the "influential democracies" means, "We are also going to have conversations, we can have and we need to have somewhat uncomfortable conversations with our partners and our friends and our allies."</p>

<p>"That is what you can do when you have, when you are partners and friends and allies, is have conversations about uncomfortable issues," said the US National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications.</p>

<h2><strong>US and human rights</strong></h2>

<p>Responding to a question about human rights, Kirby said President Joe Biden raises concerns over human rights wherever he goes around the world and with whatever world leader he is in communication with.</p>

<p>Kirby said that the US routinely raises human rights concerns with its friends, allies, partners and even nations that it is not so friendly with.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We are not bashful about raising those concerns, and we will continue to do that," he remarked.</p>

<p>“We will have a very substantial arrival ceremony on the White House lawn. The night before, I expect the prime minister and President Biden and the Biden family to have some moments of intimacy where they really have a chance to sit down together,” a White House official was quoted as saying by PTI.</p>

<p>The historic visit will kick off after PM Modi makes an appearance at the United Nations headquarters in New York to attend the International Yoga Day celebrations. Later, he will travel to Washington DC where an impressive welcome ceremony on the South Lawns has been planned. The South Lawns would later become the venue for the State Dinner which is expected to draw a huge crowd. Stakeholders from both countries have been eager to attend the event.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I think the State Dinner will be really a celebration of the US-India relations with supporters and advocates coming from India, but also around the United States. We have a saying...it’s a very hot ticket. Hardly a day goes by when I haven’t received requests from people to get the last tickets to the state dinner. I believe it will be a wonderful celebration,” said the official.</p>

<p>PM Modi will be the first Indian PM since Manmohan Singh in 2009 to undertake a state visit to the US. Previously, PM Modi has visited the US several times during his nine-year tenure but it has been labelled working or official visit only.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Not every visit by a foreign leader is classified as a state visit. State visits hold the highest ceremonial importance. At the same time, the state visit also symbolises strong bilateral relations.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Crown Prince of Jordan is now married. Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II is the heir to the throne of one of the oldest monarchies in the Middle East. On Thursday, the Prince married Rajwa Alseif in an Islamic ceremony at the Zahran Palace in Amman, Jordan. The ceremony was followed by a reception at Al Husseiniya Palace which had dignitaries from the worldover in attendance, including Britain's Prince of Wales, William and Princess of Wales, Catherine. Around 1700 guests attended the royal ceremony.</p>

<p>Others in attendance included Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, Princess Hisako and Princess Tsuguko of Japan, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, King Philippe and Princess Elisabeth of Belgium and King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Jordan's King Abdullah’s eldest son Al Hussein, 28, married Rajwa Al Saif, 29, the youngest daughter of Saudi businessman Khaled Al Saif. According to reports, Rajwa comes with royal connections of her own. She was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her father Khalid is a member of the Subai — a prominent tribe in the Arabian Peninsula with ancient roots. He is the founder of El Seif Engineering Contracting, which has built many high-rises across the Middle East.<br />

Rajwa's mother is related to Hussa bint Ahmed Al Sudairi, one of the wives of King Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia with whom she had seven sons and four daughters. Two of her sons became future Saudi kings, while her other sons later served as crown prince.<br />

<p>Republicans alleged Wednesday that President Joe Biden's family has earned more than $10 million from shady business deals crafted while he was vice president.</p>

<p>With Biden ramping up his bid for a second term as president in the 2024 election, the Republican-controlled&nbsp;House&nbsp;Oversight&nbsp;Committee alleged that the family took in $1 million tied to a business deal with a Romanian tycoon when the the-vice-president oversaw relations with the country in 2014-2015.</p>

<p>The deal was allegedly done by Rob Walker, a business partner of Biden's son Hunter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But they said he must have been aware of all of the companies set up by Hunter and his associates to conduct the business.</p>

<p>"Nobody in this room can logically sit here and say that the president of the United States had no idea that these companies were being formed while he was vice president of the United States," said Republican Representative Byron Reynolds.</p>

<p>Biden has repeatedly denied impropriety with regard to his son's deals and defended Hunter's business practices.</p>

<p>"My son has done nothing wrong. I trust him. I have faith in him," he said last week.</p>

<p>The president and first lady's joint return showed gross income of nearly $580,000 in 2022, which was $30,000 less than in the previous year's filing. Most of that income came from&nbsp;Biden's standard presidential salary of $400,000, which is set by Congress.</p>

<p>Jill&nbsp;Biden, who teaches at Northern Virginia Community College and is the first presidential spouse to continue an outside paid job, earned $82,335.</p>

<p>They paid a federal tax rate of 23.8 percent, a notch down from last year's 24.6 percent, resulting in $137,658 in federal income tax.</p>

<p>They also paid $29,023 in income tax in their home state of Delaware, while the first lady paid $3,139 in Virginia income tax.</p>

<p>Donating more than $20,000 to charities, their biggest contribution was $5,000 to the Beau&nbsp;Biden&nbsp;Foundation, a charity combating child abuse and named after their son, who died in 2015.</p>

<p>The White House said that&nbsp;Biden&nbsp;has now made public 25 years of his tax returns, "once again demonstrating his commitment to being transparent with the American people about the finances of the commander-in-chief."</p>

The area around the biopsy site was treated presumptively with electrodessication and curettage at the time of the biopsy. No further treatment is required."</p>

<p>According to Fox News, prior to the match between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, Jill was booed by the fans when she stepped on the field and stood alongside cancer survivors when the “Fly Eagles Fly” rendition was being played out on Sunday.</p>

<p>She was there at the event to promote the White House’s Cancer Moonshot initiative. She was joined on the field by cancer patients and survivors as well as their families.</p>

<p>There is no video to show that Jill was getting booed, as the song that was being played at the time was so loud that it made it difficult to differentiate the noise. But many on social media were quick to point out the incident.</p>

<p>According to a video from a White House pool report, the 79-year-old president was wearing a short-sleeve shirt, shorts, and a helmet as he was finishing up his ride with First Lady Jill Biden.</p>

<p>When he approached the mixed group of supporters and media gathered at Cape Henlopen State Park, he fell on his side and was immediately surrounded by Secret Service who helped him to his feet.</p>

<p>"Have to take off these things. My foot got caught," Biden said when asked what caused him to topple off his bike.</p>

<p>US President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden were evacuated from their beach house in Delaware after a plane breached restricted airspace near their house, the White House said.</p>

<p>The Bidens were moved to a secure location briefly, but they are now back at their residence. The incident took place on Saturday.</p>

<p>"A small private plane entered restricted airspace, all indications are by mistake, and precautionary measures were taken," an official told reporters on Saturday, according to CNN.</p>

<p>"There was no threat to the president or his family," the official added.</p>

<p>The Bidens are spending the weekend in Rehoboth Beach, in part to celebrate the first lady's birthday, which was Friday, CNN reported.</p>

<p>The US Secret Service, which is charged with protecting the president, said the plane mistakenly entered a secure area and was "immediately escorted out."</p>

<p>Apart from that, the pilot was not on the proper radio channel and "was not following published flight guidance," Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said.</p>

<p>"Shortly before 1 p.m. today a privately owned aircraft entered the restricted airspace over Rehoboth Delaware after mistakenly entering a secured area. The aircraft was immediately escorted out of the restricted airspace,” Guglielmi said in the statement, passed along by the White House.</p>

<p>“Preliminary investigation reveals the pilot was not on the proper radio channel, was not following the NOTAMS (Notice to Airmen) that had been filed and was not following published flight guidance. The United States Secret Service will be interviewing the pilot," the statement added.</p>
