An exam is cancelled, recruitment is investigated right from 2014 and suddenly, even candidates who cleared the exam and got themselves a government job, face uncertainty. Now look at Bihar. Young aspirants who want to become teachers have been on the streets, demanding something as basic as a recruitment notification. Seriously? Is it that difficult? They are not asking for charity. They are asking authorities to tell them when, or even whether they will get a chance, to compete for a job.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Why should job aspirants suffer because of the corruption and inefficiency of the system? India has a youth population that should be its greatest economic advantage. Instead, for millions of young indians, the path to securing their future has become an endless cycle of leaked exams, cancellations, delays and job uncertainty, irrespective of the party ruling the state or centre. We have created a system where a young person can spend years preparing for one government exam, clear the exam and still not know whether they will get the job.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>India needs a fundamental shift. First: better schools and colleges, with basic infrastructure and no teacher shortages. Second: employability must become a national priority. Every university and college should be judged by what its graduates can actually do, not the number of students getting degrees. Why is there still a gap between what we study and what we do in the same sector? Third: government recruitment must become transparent and time-bound. Don't end up putting the future of innocent candidates in uncertainty.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Our youngsters don't lack ambition. They lack a system that matches their ambition. And if India has to sustain itself as a stable powerful economy, which can compete with other countries, it must rectify the system that is pulling it down.</p>

<p>As the student protest in Jharkhand entered its 22nd day on Independence Day, student leader Devendra Nath Mahto alleged that police stopped him from leaving Sadar Hospital to join a Tiranga Yatra in Ranchi on Saturday.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Mahto claimed that he and his companions were "brutally beaten" when they tried to proceed to the flag hoisting ceremony at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Mahto has been on an indefinite hunger strike for 14 days over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>"Students had made preparations for the flag-hoisting ceremony at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium. We had also provided written notification to the DC, the SDM, and the hospital management regarding this. By 9 AM, the administration and hospital management stated that they would let me go to hoist the flag. Then, within 20-21 minutes, they initially said a vehicle was arriving to take us there, but suddenly, we were attacked," he quoted as saying by ANI.</p><h2>Mahto alleges police assaulted companions</h2><p>Mahto alleged that students had informed the district administration and hospital management about the planned flag hoisting ceremony.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>"The police pounced on us in a highly aggressive manner. They wanted to force us inside and lock us in with full might. I pleaded with them not to lock the door or close the gate. At that point, the entire police force pounced on us, and the companions who were trying to protect me were brutally beaten and thrown to the ground," Mahto further alleged, according to ANI&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The JLKM leader said he had remained in the hospital corridor for several hours. He also appealed to the government to clarify whether he had committed any wrongdoing.</p><h2>Soren promises transparency in recruitment exams</h2><p>Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said his government was working to bring transparency to recruitment examinations and improve the state's education system.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>"For me, the youth of the state are very important to me, and so is their faith in us. We have decided to bring changes in the system. Transparent examination will be ensured," Soren said while addressing the state level Independence Day celebration.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Soren also said the government had launched "Chhatron Ki Baat - Chhatron Ke Sath" to seek suggestions from students on improving the education system.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>He said students would continue to play an important role in building a "good education system".</p>

<h3>BJP vs Congress in Parliament premises</h3><p>While the BJP accused Congress of shifting the goalpost, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday said the Opposition's stand remains unchanged, listing three key issues, including the alleged police action against students on July 20, Ram Temple donation theft, and the demand for an apology from the government on these issues. As BJP MPs raised slogans against Rahul Gandhi over Jharkhand police brutality, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra confronted them and said said that Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had met students protesting in Jharkhand. There is a constitutional provision that gives everyone the right to picket; students are not breaking the law by peaceful protesting; you are breaking the law instead by provoking, baton charging and spraying water on them. The Gen-z are in an emergency, they have foreseen how bigger of a problem they are addressing could be for their younger brothers, sisters, cousins, relatives known as the Gen alpha, that's why they are brushing you off when you try to quell their anger by using their lingo and expressions, they don't get it and they won't get it, to them talk is cheap, they need action. Once the system acknowledges these grievances, noises, chants, the messaging on the placards, the emotional pleas, the feeble faces that have sacrificed their souls in endless hunger strikes, it means you are listening; that's all they want, nothing more, nothing less. And to the police, your job is to protect and serve, not maim and hurt. There is a constitutional provision that gives everyone the right to picket; students are not breaking the law by peaceful protesting; you are breaking the law instead by provoking, baton charging and spraying water on them. Think of them as your sons and daughters; serve and protect them. He urged CM Hemant Soren not to take police action against protesters. "Today it's CM Hemant Soren's birthday, and he should not take such a step where some unfortunate events like at the Jantar Mantar take place here. Do not do anything that causes someone to bleed or get injured and makes the crowd even more agitated. Arrest is a legal process, but there should be no bloodshed. If the government does not agree to the demands, it will be remembered as the one which killed democracy. <p>The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has sent a delegation to join the protesting students in Jharkhand with spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka saying that the organisation stood in “complete solidarity” with the students in Jharkhand. Introducing the delegation, Ranka said that it is led by Mukesh and Akshay Shinde, and they would provide “all forms of support” to the students. This comes approximately a week after CJP founder Abhijit Dipke and spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka spoke to the student leaders in Ranchi. <p>As Jharkhand student protest intensifies, Abhay Kumar Tiwari, a government employee in the state has come into limelight. Tiwari was arrested by the state Crime Investigation Department (CID), for allegedly running a syndicate that leaked and manipulated competitive examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). Tiwari has reportedly cleared several competeetive examinations himself. He cleared the Northern Coalfields Limited preliminary test, the JSSC Postgraduate Trained Teacher examination, the Combined Graduate Level examination, and JPSC examinations for Assistant Conservator of Forests, Forest Range Officer and Food Safety Officer. His latest success was the 11th Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination.</p>

<p>According to reports, Tiwari served as the marketing manager of TRS-Data Processing Private Limited, a Lucknow-based testing agency blacklisted by the Uttar Pradesh government over its alleged involvement in examination irregularities. Even after he was posted as a Block Supply Officer in Poriyahat, Godda, Tiwari allegedly remained connected to the blacklisted company. Investigators claim he promised candidates guaranteed selection in competitive examinations, by falunting his own record as a successful aspirant, and then demanded hefty payments ranging from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 40 lakh.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Meanwhile, the state government has opened talks with aspirants protesting in Ranchi. Senior officials reached the protest site and invited a five-member delegation to meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren at his residence.
