There were conflicting visions of what that film was going to be, and sometimes with these big budget studio films people start pulling at it from different directions, and then it doesn't really end up anywhere. I think David was really setting out to do something much darker, much more emotional, and nihilistic in a way, at least in his portrayal of the Joker (who was played by Jared Leto in Ayers' film), his idea of the Joker, and I think the studio wanted something that was much more entertaining. I think the trailer for the first Suicide Squad really worked against us because it became so successful, [but] it wasn't really what the movie was like. And then I think they almost tried to reshape the movie to be more like the trailer, so there was complete division,” he was quoted sa saying by an entertainment portal.&nbsp;</p>

"And for me as a young actor in Hollywood, you're dealing with issues of masculinity, ego, success and fame. That's the same quest this young man goes on to be a known knight. [Director] Jaume [Collet-Serra] took that to heart. Our special effects team are Oscar winners, and we certainly put them to work… He has super speed, can fly and has world-breaking strength to name a few. We wanted to make sure moviegoers feel that throughout the entire movie (sic),” Garcia was quoted as saying.&nbsp;</p>

The goal was to “push the bar in terms of how we do it. … You’re not going to see him use super speed just once and then it stops, this is part of his arsenal,” he added.&nbsp;</p>
