“Both Bob Iger (Chairman, Disney) and I determined this was the right strategy. And, just to reiterate, distribution decisions are made on a film by film basis. We will continue to utilize all options going forward,” the CEO added.&nbsp;</p>

Disney’s other hybrid releases include ‘Cruella’, ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ and the recently released ‘Jungle Cruise’, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. Right before the release of his film, Johnson had openly supported the company’s decision to release it in theatres as well as on Disney +.</p>

On Thursday, SJP—as she is famously called—shared a carousal of photos from the set of ‘And Just Like That’ that comprises a ‘Sex And The City’ book, Carrie’s new laptop, production staffers working and of course, a section of the apartment itself!</p>

“I wish I trained. I had spine surgery, like major spine surgery two and a half months before I had to be on set,” the actress reportedly told a leading entertainment website.&nbsp;</p>

Maggie went on to add that her doctor had told her she couldn't work for at least five months, but she'd already signed on to the movie and told him she would have to defy his orders. “He goes, 'But I don't want you to,' and I go, 'But I'm going to.' He was sweating and upset, and so, we had that little exchange and he knew that was it, he couldn't convince me.”</p>

The actress went to the set of ‘The Protégé’ assuming everyone knew about her recent medical rhistory, but that was not the case. “I went from like bed rest into rehearsals and I assumed everyone was aware of what had just happened to me. I said to the coordinator, 'So I just had this surgery and it was really, really hard on my body, so all that neck stuff, we're going to have to change it,'" she details. "And he goes, 'What surgery?' And I was like, 'No one told you that I had spine surgery?' And I've never seen a grown man want to cry in that way so immediately.”</p>

However, Maggie managed to pull off almost all of her stunts—98 per cent of them, she reportedly said. “There are a couple of things I didn't do for safety reasons but they weren't big things. Sometimes there are things you don't not do because you can't do them but because you shouldn't do them... We have to pick and choose our battles for insurance reasons and just to be safe and healthy,” said Maggie Q.</p>

“You don't want to do things that are stupid. When I was in my 20s and started in Hollywood, I was stupid. Super stupid. I would want to do things that were absolutely ridiculous risk-wise. J.J. Abrams was like holding me down, like, 'Absolutely no way are you doing this stunt,' and then my double did it, and she's one of the best in the business and she broke her ankle. So you got to have boundaries,” concluded the actor.</p>

<p>‘The Suicide Squad’ actor Joel Kinnaman has obtained a restraining order against a former sexual partner who is allegedly ‘threatening to publicize false information about’ him that includes allegations &nbsp;of him having sex with her &nbsp;‘against her will’.&nbsp;</p>

In a long Instagram post on Friday, the actor revealed that he had filed for a restraining order that same morning against a woman ‘who has been threatening to physically harm me and my family and loved ones, and attempting to extort money and other things of value from me’.</p>

The woman in question—who Joel has identified as as Gabriella Magnusson—is a Swedish model, she also goes by the name Bella Davis. Kinnaman claims that he ‘had a brief romantic relationship’ with her in late 2018, but she later ‘resorted to threatening to publicize false information about me — including that I had sex with her against her will — unless I capitulated to her demands’.</p>

According to the actor's allegations to the court, the woman has reportedly demanded money, Hollywood connections, helping her to secure a work visa, a verified Instagram page, a Wikipedia page, a photo shoot with Sports Illustrated and an additional $400,000 USD for an apartment, among others things.</p>

Kinnaman claims he and Magnusson had consensual sex in New York in November of 2018 and again the month after but he ‘did not spend the night together because I had to get up early the following morning for work. The next day she texted me that she was bothered that I had not asked her to spend the night and that I did not check with her to make sure she made it home safely’.</p>

He went on to add that in 2019 and 2020, Magnusson had asked him to meet up and even sent ‘sexually explicit content, but I was in a relationship at this point, so I did not respond’.&nbsp;</p>

Joel Kinnaman is engaged to model Kelly Gale, whom he had proposed to earlier this year.</p>

"At one point, she stated, 'Do you know how much money I would get and how famous I would be if I went to the press? She also made threats of physical violence against me and my family by herself and others, including her brother, a convicted felon, who pointed a rifle at my manager. Since then, her threats of violence against me and my loved ones have become so serious and specific that I felt I had no choice but to seek a restraining order… to be VERY clear so there is no misunderstanding: I stand by all victims of sexual assault,” continued the actor.</p>

“That is not what occurred here. This was consensual sex. And now it is an attempt to extort… More importantly — this is a threat to the safety of my family and loved ones, which will always be my top priority,” he concluded.</p>

Magnusson is yet to comment on the issue, reports claim.</p>

‘The Suicide Squad’ actor Joel Kinnaman alleges sextortion by a former partner, gets restraining order

<p>The Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) President, Gabrielle Carteris, has made a few observations about Disney’s handling of the ‘Black Widow’ lawsuit by Scarlett Johansson. And it is not in the media giant’s favour.&nbsp;</p>

“Disney should be ashamed of themselves for resorting to tired tactics of gender-shaming and bullying. Actors must be compensated for their work according to their contracts. Scarlett Johansson is shining a white-hot spotlight on the improper shifts in compensation that companies are attempting to slip by talent as distribution models change,” Carteris reportedly said.&nbsp;</p>

She went on to add, “Nobody in any field of work should fall victim to surprise reductions in expected compensation. It is unreasonable and unjust. Disney and other content companies are doing very well and can certainly live up to their obligations to compensate the performers whose art and artistry are responsible for the corporation’s profits.”<br />
In late July, Johansson filed a lawsuit against the company alleging that the studio breached her contract when it released ‘Black Widow’ simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+, a move she claims potentially cost her as much as 50 million USD.</p>

She went on to add, “Nobody in any field of work should fall victim to surprise reductions in expected compensation. It is unreasonable and unjust. Disney and other content companies are doing very well and can certainly live up to their obligations to compensate the performers whose art and artistry are responsible for the corporation’s profits.” In late July, Johansson filed a lawsuit against the company alleging that the studio breached her contract when it released ‘Black Widow’ simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+, a move she claims potentially cost her as much as 50 million USD. For instance, Abhay is playing an Indian immigrant, I made sure his character doesn't speak with a fake American accent! “The movie is great because it’s really heartbreaking and then it just hits you with comedy and really thrilling moments,” Jack added. “Mercedes (Kilmer’s daughter) and I were laughing one minute and crying the next. All the stuff that we went through as a family is in the movie and it’s truly a vulnerable portrait of our dad, and of us.”</p>

“It’s hard for him to move around and he doesn’t want (the event) to become about his health. He wants people to enjoy the film,” reportedly said producer Alborzi, who added that he would be sending him photos all night from the premiere.</p>
