The Tech Transparency Project stated that since the system is paid, "X may be raising new legal issues".&nbsp;It added that X had removed the blue ticks from the accounts which were identified as notorious or problematic after the report was published. 
 
The TTP claimed that an account run by Ansar Allah, who is known as a Houthi, also apparently paid for its blue check mark. The account does not have a blue tick anymore and has more than 23,000 followers. 
 
In both the United States and the United Kingdom, sanctions have been issued against the Houthis. On its website, the United Kingdom government said that it has sanctioned the Houthis "to disrupt their ability to attack international shipping in the Red Sea, and to promote Yemen's peace, stability and security".

US billionaire Elon Musk on Sunday (Feb 11) shared plans to relocate one million people to Mars, without providing any timeline for the same. Reacting to a post on his social media platform X, Musk wrote, “We are mapping out a game plan to get a million people to Mars."

He also hinted at creating a local, self-sustained ecological system on Mars that could survive without any support from Earth. "Civilisation only passes the single-planet Great Filter when Mars can survive even if Earth supply ships stop coming," the US billionaire added.

He said this in response to a post which said “Starship is the largest rocket ever built and it’ll take us to Mars”.

Musk also said a day will come when a trip to Mars will be taken as a flight to another country in modern times.

This comes after Musk, who is also the founder of company SpaceX, last week said that Starship should be able to make it to the moon in less than five&nbsp;years. Musk boasted that the SpaceX Dragon spaceship will take humans to the furthest they have been from Earth in over half a century. He said in January that SpaceX will be able to send humans to the Moon within the next eight years.

<h2>‘Systemic nature’</h2>

“Cases of the Russian occupiers’ use of the given devices have been registered. It is beginning to take on a systemic nature,” the Ukrainian defence ministry’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) quoted spokesman Andriy Yusov as saying.&nbsp;

In its post on Telegram, GUR also posted an audio clip of what it said was an exchange between two Russian soldiers that was intercepted by its forces, claiming it as proof of Starlink’s “systemic” use in the Russian-occupied territory.&nbsp;

The Ukrainian intelligence agency said Starlink terminals are being used by Russia’s 83rd Air Assault Brigade, which is fighting near the embattled towns of Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the partially occupied eastern region of Donetsk.&nbsp;

Following media reports last week, Musk’s aerospace company, SpaceX, has said that it does not do any business with Russia’s government or military.

Starlink is the world’s first and largest satellite constellation which involves more than 2,000 satellites orbiting the Earth in communication with thousands of terminals on the ground to deliver broadband internet.&nbsp;

The audio clip which GUR posted on Telegram as evidence is said to be an exchange between two Russian soldiers discussing setting up the Starlink terminals. However, the Ukrainian agency did not say how Moscow’s forces were able to procure the terminals or if they were from another country or taken from Kyiv’s forces.

In response to the media reports last week, Starlink, in a statement on X said, “Starlink is not active in Russia, meaning service will not work in that country. SpaceX has never sold or marketed Starlink in Russia, nor has it shipped equipment to locations in Russia.”

“If SpaceX obtains knowledge that a Starlink terminal is being used by a sanctioned or unauthorized party, we investigate the claim and take actions to deactivate the terminal if confirmed,” it added.&nbsp;

The Tesla founder was&nbsp;responding to an excerpt from the report&nbsp;where the publication questioned Musk's behaviour after smoking marijuana at Joe Rogan's popular podcast show in 2018. The report added that Musk's conduct had resulted in employees at&nbsp;SpaceX being randomly tested for drugs.&nbsp;

"After that one puff with Rogan, I agreed, at NASA’s request, to do 3 years of random drug testing. Not even trace quantities were found of any drugs or alcohol," said Musk.&nbsp;

"@WSJ is not fit to line a parrot cage for bird sh*t," he added.&nbsp;

Musk's attorney Alex Spiro,&nbsp;confirmed to WSJ that the billionaire had never failed a drug test, adding that the newspaper's report included 'false facts', without disclosing what they were.

As per the data company Pitchbook, California-based Neuralink last year had more than 400 employees and was able to raise nearly $363 million.

Musk's company is not the only one which has been trying to advance in the field, which is officially called brain-machine or brain-computer interface research.

The tycoon, who has faced major deploys, has reached out, as per reports, to join forces with implant developer Synchron regarding a potential investment.&nbsp;

Unlike the Link of Neuralink, its implant version does not require cutting into the skull for its installation. The first device was implanted by Australia-based Synchron in a US patient in July 2022.
