<p>Veteran actor Christopher Plummer&nbsp;died on Friday at the age of 91.</p>

<p>Plummer died at his home in Connecticut with his wife <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/hollywood/news-hollywood-legend-and-star-of-sound-of-music-christopher-plummer-dies-at-91-361681">Elaine Taylor at his side, his longtime friend and manager Lou Pitt said</a>. One of the most recognizable and admired character actors in Hollywood, he had&nbsp;some 100 films under his belt and dozens of television roles.</p>

<p>His first Academy Award nomination came in 2010 for 'The Last Station,' for his portrayal of Russian author Leo Tolstoy. He finally took home the golden statuette two years later, becoming -- at the age of 82 -- the oldest actor to win an Oscar, for his supporting role in "Beginners" as a man who openly embraces his homosexuality only after his wife dies.</p>

<p>In 2018, he earned another Oscar nomination after standing in at the last minute in "All the Money in the World" for Kevin Spacey, who was dropped from the film following accusations of sexual misconduct.</p>

<p>Recently, he starred in the 2019 whodunit 'Knives Out'&nbsp;alongside Daniel Craig, Chris Evans and Jamie Lee Curtis.</p>

<p>The director of that film, Rian Johnson, called Plummer a "legend who loved his craft, and was an absolute gentleman."</p>

Chris Evans not returning as Captain America, subtly denies reports of comeback

<p>Netflix has decided to delay the production of the much-anticipated thriller 'The Gray Man' amid concerns about the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in California. The Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans starter was scheduled to go on floors in mid-January 2021.</p>

<p>According to Variety, the sources close to the production said&nbsp;that the indefinite pause stems from an abundance of caution that’s driven by the relatively high numbers required to launch production at a time when California has seen record highs of new cases in recent days. Sets had been under construction in the Long Beach area of southern Los Angeles County.</p>

<p>The California State Film Commission announced in August that 'Gray Man'&nbsp;had been selected for a $20 million production tax credit allocation in what was by far the largest amount unveiled among the $50 million in conditional allocations for nine film projects.</p>

<p>'The Gray Man'&nbsp;is based on a series of best-sellers from Mark Greaney. <p>Actor Chris Evans, better known as 'Captain America', made a six-year-old boy's day by sending him a personalised video message lauding his heroic act of saving his younger sister from a dog attack.<br />

According to The news agency, the aunt of the young boy (Bridger Walker from Cheyenne) posted on Instagram the story of how the boy saved his sister on July 9 and was horribly injured in the process.<br />

<p>The story of 6-year-old boy saving his younger sister from a ferocious dog attack has been winning the internet but now there’s some awesome news for the little ‘hero’. ‘Captain America’ aka Hollywood star Chris Evans chatted with the&nbsp;boy who he hails as “hero” in the right sense of the word as he took on the attack, shielding his sister.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The boy’s photos went viral with his entire face from one side being bitten off. The boy has now got 90 stitches and is recovering and Chris Evans has the best surprise for him.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Chris revealed that he will soon be receiving an authentic Captain America shied for his bravery. Evans said, "Pal, you're a hero, what you did was so brave, so selfless — your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother. Your parents must be so proud of you."</p>

<p>Chris Evans almost said no to playing 'Captain America.' The actor in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that he was hesitant to play the Marvel Superhero- a role that eventually catapulted him to superstardom.<br />

Evans reveals that when the role came his way, he was dealing with severe anxiety for several years and had doubts about his acting career.<br />

Evans revealed he first experienced anxiety around the time his film debut in 2007 in&nbsp; 'Human Torch in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer."<br />

"That was back when the superhero thing was just taking off. I had just been dumped and I needed it," he said.<br />
Evans said he started having panic attacks while filming 'Puncture' in 2010.<br />

"It was the first time I started having mini panic attacks on set," he said. "I really started to think, 'I'm not sure if this (acting) is the right thing for me, I'm not sure if I'm feeling as healthy as I should be feeling.'"<br />

By the time Marvel asked him to test for the role of 'Captain America,' in 2011's 'Captain America: The First Avenger,' he turned them down.<br />

<p>There were perhaps no dry eyes in the cinema halls when the viewers watched an old Captain America handing over his shield to Falcon in the climax-nearing 'Avengers: Endgame' and Anthony Mackie has revealed it was Chris Evans who broke the ending to him before they started shooting.</p>

<p>Evans and Mackie first worked together as Cap/ Steve Rogers and Falcon in 2014's 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', which was also directed by 'Endgame' filmmakers The Russo Brothers.</p>

<p>The actor said he hadn't read the script and got to know about the big shift from the man himself. 'We were at his (Evans) house and he goes, 'You excited?' And I go, 'What are you talking about?' and he goes, 'You don't know?' He jumps up, runs out of the room and comes back in with the script,' Mackie told IMDb.</p>

<p>He admitted he was overwhelmed after reading the climax.</p>
