<p>Krishnakumar Kunnath, better known as KK leaves a rich musical legacy that perhaps represented coming of age of an entire generation. He wasn't a Kishore Kumar or even a Sonu Nigam, but KK had his own niche, his own domain of which only he was the king.</p>

<p>It has been learnt that KK felt sick while he was performing.</p>

<p>After returning to his hotel, the singer complained of uneasiness.&nbsp;The uneasiness was reportedly due to cardiac arrest.&nbsp;He was rushed to a hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.</p>

<p>West Bengal Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Arup Biswas told mediapersons that the body has been sent for post-mortem.</p>

<p>Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India also took to Twitter earlier and said it's a "bold representation of truth".&nbsp;</p>

<p>When asked about the Ms Universe pageant and the challenges which she faced, Sandhu says, "It's just like the Olympics. It's not just about glamour."&nbsp;</p>

<p>She adds that the biggest stigma attached to the pageant is that it only focuses on ideals of "beauty" when in fact, a strong personality, quick wit and a sharp mind are required for you to make it to the final rounds.</p>

<p>Sandhu has won the title at a time when the beauty industry in South Asia is still being called out for promoting fairness creams and skin-lightning products. So how does she reconcile with all this?</p>

<p>Sandhu responds with a smile, "We all come from different backgrounds, different skin tones and communities...we all are there to embrace and empower each other." She adds that the pageant is an example of inclusivity.</p>

<p>Talking to WION about what she hopes to do now that she has won the title, Sandhu says that she wants to break stereotypes associated with beauty queens. One of her pet projects is to create more awareness about menstrual hygiene. She says she will use her platform to do the same.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sandhu's mother is a gynaecologist and the latter's experiences with patients have given Sandhu strong impetus to be a voice for the cause.</p>

<p>Let's not forget that all beauty pageant winners in India have followed a rather predictable path of venturing into Bollywood. So, would Sandhu do the same?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Well, for now, she says it's soon to talk of her Bollywood dreams but she adds that she has been doing theatre for five years.</p>

<p>“We don’t know where this is going to go. We can only take one day at a time,” says producer Ajay Rai of Jar &nbsp;Pictures who is currently shooting a &nbsp;secret project in Lucknow.</p>

<p>“A &nbsp;sense of muted panic has already gripped the entertainment industry. So many producers have lined up big projects for release during the coming weeks and months. In fact, ambitious producers have booked coveted Friday in November –December &nbsp;2022 and 2023. But do we &nbsp;even know what is going to happen two weeks or &nbsp;one month &nbsp;from now?” &nbsp;Ajay Rai voices the fear that has gripped the Indian entertainment industry all over again.</p>

<p>Anees Bazmi who has his big Kartik Aaryan comedy 'Bhoool Bhulaiya 2'&nbsp; scheduled for &nbsp;25 March 2022 feels uncertainty is the future of the entertainment industry. &nbsp;“I suppose we will have to live with the fear of COVID-19&nbsp; for a &nbsp;very long time. Now with this new variant coming in, nobody knows what will happen.”</p>

<p>Sanjay Leela Bhansali whose Alia Bhatt-Ajay Devgan starrer 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is scheduled for February 18, 2022, feels the entertainment industry needs to think beyond its own losses. “Thousands of lives are at stake. Millions have already lost their lives. We can’t be bothered &nbsp;about our films at a time like this.”</p>

<p>Producer-director Vipul Shah feels it’s too early to comment on the impact of the Omicron: “It’s too early to know how serious this virus is. I would wait and watch. Our industry is showing amazing resilience and I have no doubt that we will get through this also and come out with flying colours.”</p>

<p>Telugu actor &nbsp;Adivi Sesh whose war bio-pic Major is scheduled for release all over India in multiple languages on &nbsp;February 11 is hopeful that this time the situation won’t get out of hand. “It might affect India, including the entertainment industry. So far, I don’t see an increase in deaths worldwide and that is cautious good news. If our vaccine drives continue to hold, and the new variant doesn’t cause premature death, we should be able to beat this. Optimistic. Fingers crossed.”</p>
