A blast rocked the University of Ghazni on Tuesday morning in southern Afghanistan.

According to reports, the improvised device blast injured at least eight female students who have been rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment, news agency ANI reported citing TOLO News.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. More details are awaited.

The explosion comes just a day after an explosion took place in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nangarhar on Monday.

At least 10 people, including a child, were killed while 27 others sustained injuries.

The incident occurred when explosive materials placed in a rickshaw went off near an Afghan army vehicle in Police District 3 of the Jalalabad city, local officials confirmed, as reported by Tolo News.

The Afghan Interior Ministry said that some of those injured in the incident were in critical condition.
