The shocking allegation comes from Samirul Islam, Chairman of the West Bengal Migrant Labour Welfare Board and Rajya Sabha MP, who described the act as a ‘blatant violation of constitutional rights and due process.'“She is a permanent resident of the Murarai Assembly constituency, and her family has lived there for generations. But no, she isn’t speaking from her ancestral home. She is now in Bangladesh, where she and five others, including three minors, were deported by the Delhi Police," said Mr. Islam.The incident allegedly occurred in June 2024, when Delhi Police detained six residents from Birbhum, including Danish Sheikh, his pregnant wife Sunali Khatun, their five-year-old son, and three others. They have reportedly produced valid ID proof such as Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, land deeds, and health records.&nbsp;In a video message shared by Sonali Khatun, she said, "We were arrested in Delhi, where we had gone to work. We showed our Aadhaar card and pleaded that we were not Bangladeshis, but the police threatened us. Kunal submitted the conversation between them to the police on July 16 after whihc the police arrested Sushmita and Rahul, reported NDTV.&nbsp;Sleeping pills, electrocution given to kill Karan&nbsp;According to the conversation, Sushmita mixed 15 sleeping pills in Karan's food on the night of July 12. When the sedatives failed to take immediate effect, Sushmita gave electric shocks to her husband. After the murder she ran crying to her in-laws house and claimed Karan had collapsed. During investigation Sushmita said Karan had slapped and abused her the day before Karwa Chauth and often demanded money.“Based on the initial investigation, a case has been registered under appropriate sections. The AK-203 rifles, which are under production at the Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited (IRRPL) facility in India's Uttar Pradesh, are all set to be 100 per cent indigenous by the end of this year. After receiving all the due deliveries, the Army will have a total of 70,000 AK-203 rifles in its arsenal by the end of 2025. At present, the rifles produced at the IRRPL Amethi facility are 50% indigenous. The transfer of technology was completed in 2024. “The contract signed between IRRPL and the Ministry of Defence mandates the production of 6,01,427 AK-203 assault rifles over 10 years. The first two years were dedicated to technology absorption. After 2025, we expect to produce 70,000 rifles annually," Maj Gen SK Sharma, CMD, IRRPL, told News 18. I waited for two days, but no action was taken by the school, and the driver called again to pick the child up for school. When we confronted him, he harassed us in front of the school and made casteist remarks. We were threatened with abduction, even the school also asked us not to complain. I have all the proof. The police&nbsp;have registered an FIR, and a medical test of my child was conducted," she added.

Tata Sons on Friday formalised and completed the registration of a public charitable Trust worth Rs 500 crore in Mumbai, dedicated to the victims of the tragic accident of Air India flight AI-171 in Ahmedabad on June 12 that killed 260 people.&nbsp;The Trust will be called 'The AI-171 Memorial and Welfare Trust', the company said in a statement, which would provide both immediate and continuing support to the dependents/next-of-kin of the deceased, to those who were injured, and to all others who are directly or collaterally affected by the accident.&nbsp;“The Trust will also provide aid and assistance for alleviation of any trauma or distress suffered by the first responders, medical and disaster relief professionals, social workers and governmental staff who provided invaluable institutional support and service in the aftermath of the accident,” said the company.&nbsp;Tata Sons and Tata Trusts have together pledged to contribute Rs 500 crore (with both committing Rs 250 crore each) for the Trust's philanthropic objects, which will include ex-gratia payment of Rs. 1 crore for those deceased, medical treatment of those who suffered serious injuries, and support for rebuilding the B.J. Medical College Hostel infrastructure which was damaged in the accident.&nbsp;The Trust will be managed and administered by a 5-member Board of Trustees.
