Ex-Calcutta HC judge Karnan writes letter to SC about 'anti-social element, terrorist' judges

The Supreme Court had found Justice Karnan guilty of contempt of court last year after he accused 20 sitting judges of being corrupt and wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to initiate a probe.
Former Calcutta High Court judge Justice CS Karnan has written another letter.
This time he's written to the Registrar General of the Supreme Court saying, "I have passed a judicial order against 8 convicted accused/ anti-social element/ terrorist judges, namely Mr Justice JS Kheher, Mr Justice Dipak Misra, Mr Justice Chemaleshwar, Mr Justice Rajan Gogoi, Mr Justice Madan Lokur, Mr Justice Pinak Chandra Ghose, Mr Justice Kurien Joseph, Mrs Justice R Bhanumati."
"Now I am taking necessary accelerated steps to broach my case before the Hon'ble International Court of Justice for relief, since the matter is still hanging fire and unable to settle in India," Karnan adds in his letter.

The Supreme Court had found Justice Karnan guilty of contempt of court last year after he accused 20 sitting judges of being corrupt and wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to initiate a probe.
A seven-judge bench of the apex court had on May 9 last year passed an order sentencing Karnan to six months in jail.
This happened after 12 advocates on record refused to represent him. Senior lawyer Mathews J Nedumpara finally agreed to represent Karnan in the Supreme Court to recall the arrest order.
Earlier, in an interview to WION, Justice Karnan was asked whether he was ready to tender an unconditional apology to the apex court. “No, no, no, no... They are contemnors. Yesterday (April 1, 2017), I passed judicial order and I declared that all seven judges are contemnors... all seven judges are accused under the SC/ST Atrocities Act... further directed the Registrar General not to allot any administrative or judicial work to the honorable judges because they are accused under the SC/ST Atrocities Act.”
Karnan had been slammed from all sides for his letter to the prime minister.
Senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani called his behaviour "lunatic", adding that Karnan "must meet his fate".
Former attorney general Mukul Rohatgi asked the Supreme Court to initiate contempt of court proceedings for his “scurrilous” letters against sitting and retired judges of the Supreme Court.
One will have to wait and see what lies in store for Justice Karnan after this latest letter reaches the judges of India's highest court.
