Salman Khan who is currently on bail in 1998 blackbuck poaching case, is now set to turn producer for an upcoming TV show. The show will interestingly be based on the lives of Mumbai police officers. Also Read: Salman Khan thanks his fans for love and support, tweets ‘tears of gratitude’
The yet-to-be-titled show will reportedly explore the lives of Mumbai cops -- both on and off duty. With this show, Salman will make his debut as a TV producer. The cast of the show has been finalised and it is being shot in a Mumbai studio at the moment.
According to a Mumbai-based tabloid, Mahesh Limaye, the National Award-winning director of the 2014 Marathi film Yellow, will direct the show while writer Sridhar Raghavan, of Bluffmaster and Khakee fame has written the script.
The show is scheduled to be on air from next month.
Apart from producing the cop drama, Salman is also supposed to be on 'Dus Ka Dum' season 3 but it’s still to be seen whether he will be able to complete the shoot due to his ongoing case.
Salman Khan was convicted by Jodhpur trial court in 1998 blackbuck poaching case for killing two endangered blackbucks while shooting for film Hum Saath Saath Hain. There were four other actors with him including Saif Ali Khan, Neelam Kothari, Tabu and Sonali Bendre -- all were acquitted in the case.
