Richa Chadha's 'DaasDev' and '3 Storeys' to clash at the Box Office

Richa Chadha whose last release Fukrey Returns in 2017 and earned Rs 100 crores, has a busy 2018 as well. In fact, two of her films are scheduled to release on the same day.

DaasDev and 3 Storeys is slated to release on 9 March. Both the films deal with different themes and will have Richa is playing very different characters. DaasDev by Sudhir Mishra is a modern spin on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 'Devdas' and is a love saga based amidst the background of a political upheaval. Unlike the plot of Devdas, this film has strong characters. Richa will play Paro in the film while Rahul Bhatt plays the Devdas and Aditi Rao Hydari's character is similar to Chandramukhi's.

Meanwhile, 3 Storeys is an Excel entertainment movie which is a bouquet of 3 parallel stories set in a residential colony in Mumbai and has Renuka Shahane, Pulkit Samrat and Sharman Joshi in other roles. Going by the trailer, Richa plays a seductress of sorts in the film.

So, what is Richa's reaction to the fact that two of her films are releasing on the same day? "I am nervous and excited. An actor does not usually have two films releasing on the same day. I hope I can do justice to the two projects. I don't want the audience to get sick of me," says the actress.

It will be interesting to see which of these Richa Chadha starrer movies gains more appreciation from the audience.
