
On Thursday, Salman Khan was declared guilty of killing rare antelope back in 1998. The other actors- Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam- have been acquitted in the case. Khan has been sentenced to 5-year-jail term and the film industry is already panicking as lot is at stake. The superstar will have to spend a few nights in the Jodhpur jail before he can appeal for bail. A lot of money is riding on the actor and the projects he is currently working on and trade pundits state that nearly Rs 500 crores are at stake.
Khan, despite numerous court cases and controversies, dominates the Box Office with his films and has a huge fan base. The actor's fans are always ready to forgive the mistakes that the actor may have committed in the past and throng the theatres each time a Salman movie releases.
Here are the projects that Salman was currently working on.
Race 3
Khan's next release is action thriller Race 3. The actor is a co-producer of the film and also plays the lead role. Race 3 also features Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Anil Kapoor. The film is mounted on a large scale, directed by Remo D'Souza, the film's approximate budget is around Rs 100 crores. While the shooting of the film has been completed, the film's post-production work and promotions are still left. Slated to release in June, the film's fate may get affected if Salman is not around to promote it.
Bharat
Salman has also given his nod to Ali Abbas Zafar's next project Bharat. The actor-director duo has delivered blockbuster hits like Tiger Zinda Hai and Sultan and therefore, there is a lot of hype around their newly announced project. The official remake of Korean film, Ode to My Father, the film is mounted on a lavish scale.
Dabangg 3
Salman's brother Arbaaz Khan has announced that the third instalment of the Dabangg series will be directed by Prabhu Deva and will go on floors mid-2018. The film is going to co-star Sonakshi Sinha and rumours state that the film is looking for a December 2018 release.
Kick 2
Another sequel of Salman's hit film, Kick 2 will be helmed by Sajid Nadiadwala. Khan is expected to start shooting for the film later this year and the film is looking for a Christmas 2019 release.
Dus Ka Dum
Salman will reportedly be going to start shooting for the popular quiz show after wrapping up work on Race 3. The show was to make a comeback on TV in a new, revamped version and the actor was personally taking interest in reviving the show.
The actor had also announced two films under his production banner. The actor is producing Love Ratri which marks the debut of his brother-in-law Ayush Sharma and Time To Dance which would launch Isabelle Kaif, Katrina Kaif's sister in Bollywood.
