
Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain who was earlier detected with coronavirus and was hospitalized has been put under oxygen support after his lung infection increased.

News wire PTI quoting officials said that the Delhi health minister who has been admitted in a COVID-19 hospital was diagnosed with pneumonia. Reports said the minister had developed breathing difficulties.
Doctors have been keeping a close eye on the minister's health. Satyendar Jain was detected with the virus on Wednesday after experiencing high grade fever and a sudden drop inoxygen levels.
After his virus was detected, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwalhad appointed Manish Sisodia to take over Satyendar Jain's portfolios.
Meanwhile, India's national capital reported 2,877 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours which is the highest one-day spike in coronavirus cases.
The health authorities also reported 65 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total death toll in Delhi due to the virus has shot up to 1,969.
The total number of cases in Delhi has gone up to 49,979 including 21,341 patients.
