When Harshita Gaur got injured while shooting Mirzapur season 2, refused to use a body double

With the internet buzzing in anticipation of Mirzapur Season 3's release, the recently launched trailer has received a blockbuster response. Fans have even coined a couple of names for Dimpy (Harshita Gaur) and Robin (Priyanshu Painyuli) - 'Rompy.' The trailer hints at significant developments in Harshita Gaur's character in the new season.
In a recent interview with Jist, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, who plays 'Golu' in the series, shared how Harshita Gaur demonstrated extraordinary dedication during the filming of Mirzapur Season 2. Despite being injured during one of the action sequences, Harshita refused to use a body double, prioritizing authenticity over her injuries.
Recalling her shoot day, Shweta said, ''We were shooting for Mirzapur Season 2 so there was one sequence of me and Harshita when Golu does her first kill. And you won't believe that day Dimpy's health was not up to the mark. She was barely able to stand. Harshita had loose motions and her legs were injured too.''
She added, ''Our EP was taking care of her and she kept on messaging our director Grupa to not use anybody double on that day and finally she came. In that particular scene in which she was thrown against the tree, Harshita, despite doing it with full precautions,still gothurt on her head. That's what is inspiring.''
This dedication only heightens the anticipation for Harshita's performance in the upcoming season.

Earlier this month, the adrenaline-pumping trailer of the much-awaited third season was released. The crime thriller brings back the fan-favourite stellar ensemble cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjumm Shharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik and Manu Rishi Chadha.
In season 3, the dynamics seem to have changed after the shocking end of season 2, when Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu Sharma) was shot dead.
Mirzapur Season 3is set to release on July 5th.
