
Sean “Diddy” Combs is desperate to get out on bail and has applied for the same for the third time now. With no hopes of him being granted bail since all fear that he might escape justice by leaving the US, Diddy and his legal team have now accused the federal government of trying to frame him.
Diddy’s team claims that the federal government has deliberately leaked a disturbing video of his alleged assault on ex girlfriend Cassie Ventura. The video was from a 2016 night when Cassie Ventura was assaulted by Diddy who can be see getting rough with her as she tries to escape.
According to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s attorneys allege that the Department of Homeland Security orchestrated the release of the 2016 footage to CNN, which shows the rapper “beating, dragging and assaulting” Cassie at a Los Angeles hotel.
Diddy’s team claims that the officials had a “motive” against the rapper. Diddy is accusing the government of “misconduct in his criminal case”.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently in jail and is being tried for prostitution and racketeering charges. It started with Cassie Ventura accusing Diddy of sexual assault. Diddy’s team reached out and settled the case within 24 hours. However, many others have come forward since then.

Combs' lawyers say that the leak of the tape was on purpose to hurt his image and weaken his case. They believe that the government's move was driven by a personal grudge or to force Combs into agreeing to a plea bargain.
