Saturday Night Live ropes in mega stars for its 50th season

Saturday Night Live is out with its list of new hosts for the upcoming season. Season 50 will be huge as it has roped in Ariana Grande, John Mulaney, Michael Keaton and more.
Season 50 will air its first episode on September 28 and Jean Smart will host the SNL for the first time with musical guest Jelly Roll. This will be followed by an October 5 episode hosted by Nate Bargatze featuring songs from Coldplay.
Ariana Grande, Michael Keaton, Billie Eilish to return to SNL
Ariana Grande will return to SNL hosting duties (for the second time) on October 12 with musical guest Stevie Nicks. Ariana will lead SNL before the release of her impending film Wicked on November 22.
Michael Keaton will visit Studio 8H on October 19 with Billie Eilish, and John Mulaney will host on November 2 with Saturday Night Live first-timer Chappell Roan. Keaton was last seen in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice opposite Jenna Ortega and Winona Ryder, and his next film Goodrichwill debut in theatres on October 18. He’ll be joined by Billie Eilish in her fourth stint as Saturday Night Live musical guest. She will be promoting her 2024 album Hit Me Hard and Soft.

Comedian Bargatze will be back for hosting duties after he first did it in 2023. He is currently on his Be Funny Tour through the fall. Coldplay will join him in the band’s eighth appearance as a musical guest. Coldplay will release its 10th album, Moon Music, on October 4.
Saturday Night Live will celebrate its 50th season with a live primetime special on February 16.
