Prince George has turned 11 and to celebrate the occasion Kensington Palace has released a picture of him. The prince is celebrating his birthday today (July 22). The black-and-white photograph was taken by his mother, Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, earlier this month in Windsor. Dressed in a dark-coloured suit, George looks quite grown-up in the new photo. He matched the blazer with an open-necked white shirt and was all smiles.

According to Fox News, he is likely to have two birthday parties, one at a soccer match, and later with a cake baked by his mother.

Notably, Kate Middleton is undergoing treatment for cancer, because of which the celebrations are likely to be low-key. However, she has continued with her passion for being behind the camera and is often the one who clicks pictures of her children.

Christopher Andersen, author of The King, said, “This has obviously been a tough year for George, Charlotte and Louis, with both their mother and their grandfather waging very public cancer battles.”

“So, it's likely they'll stick to the usual plan and have a low-key party at Windsor attended by cousins and a few school friends,” he added.

He also spoke about a rule that will take effect after George turns 12 next year. Prince George at Euros, Taylor Swift concert and more

Prince George and his siblings have often been seen out and about in the past few weeks. He attended the Euro 2024 final alongside his father at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, which England lost to Spain. Earlier, he was joined by his sister, Princess Charlotte, at a Taylor Swift concert at Wembley Stadium on their father's 42nd birthday. They also clicked a selfie with Swift.

All three kids - George, Charlotte and their six-year-old brother Prince Louis, joined their mother in a carriage during the traditional Trooping the Colour ceremony last month to celebrate the King's official birthday. George and William were also at the FA Cup final played between Manchester City and Manchester United at Wembley in May. George was later seen speaking with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and shook hands with both the teams.
