Kareena Kapoor Khan gets HC notice for using 'Bible' in pregnancy book title

Kareena Kapoor Khan gets HC notice for using 'Bible' in pregnancy book title

Kareena Kapoor Khan's Pregnancy Bible: The Ultimate Manual for Moms-To-Be

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who shares two kids, Taimur and Jeh, with actor Saif Ali Khan, released her memoir Kareena Kapoor Khan's Pregnancy Bible in 2021. The book delves into Kareena's pregnancy journey and provides guidance for expectant mothers.

The book is currently grabbing headlines for a legal notice the actress has received from the Madhya Pradesh High Court for using the word "Bible" in the memoir's title.

Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia, presiding over a single-judge bench, issued the notice to Khan and the booksellers, seeking an explanation for the choice of the word "bible" in the title.

The notice was issued on advocate Christopher Anthony's petition to register a case against the actress as well as the book's sellers. He alleged that the word "bible" in the book's title is hurtful to the sentiments of the Christian community.

"The Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world and it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan's pregnancy with the Bible," he said, accusing the actress of using the word for "cheap publicity".

On the work front, Kareena will be next seen in Singham Again as Avni Kamat. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. It is helmed by Rohit Shetty and serves as a follow-up sequel to Singham Returns (2014).
