Sonam Kapoor shared these images on Instagram

Sonam Kapoor who was quarantined with her husband in Delhi during the lockdown, flew back to Mumbai just in time to ring in her 35th birthday. As Sonam turned a year older on June 9, her family and friends ensured the celebration started a little before midnight itself.

The actress shared several photos of the celebration that had multiple cakes, flowers and balloons.

A huge balloon in the shape of the number ‘35’ was also a part of the decorations around the house. In one of the images, Sonam can be seen cutting one of her birthday cakes. Other photos show her smiling as she looks at the decorations.

The actress also wrote a thank you note for her husband Anand Ahuja. Sharing two pictures with him, she wrote, “The best best husband in the world , who gives me everything that I truly need. He is my blessing on my birthday. Love you @anandahuja from the first day I hugged you.”

Sonam and Anand were at their Delhi residence with the latter's family amid lockdown. She has shared multiple images from her stay in Delhi.

Her father, actor Anil Kapoor took to Instagram to wish his eldest daughter on her birthday and admitted that she was the only person he was scared of. "To a daughter like no other, the perfect partner to @anandahuja, a star on screen and an icon with an unimitable style. She’s my confidant, my joy, my pride, the most generous hearted soul I know, (the only person I am shit scared of) & now a bona fide master chef! Happy Birthday, @sonamkapoor! I’m so happy that you’re here with all of us today! Love You, Always!” he wrote.

Sonam's sister Rhea Kapoor also wished her sister with an Instagram post that read, “Happy birthday senior!"
