A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: George RR Martin reveals what to expect from next GoT spinoff series

After House of the Dragon, there is another Game of Thrones spinoff series in the making. The new series is called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms which will land on HBO next year.
When asked about the series, Game of Thrones author George RR Martin, who is the EP of the series said that the new spinoff “will be a lot shorter than Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon, with a much different tone. But it’s still Westeros, so no one is truly safe.”

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will follow the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (played by Peter Claffey) and his young squire, Egg (played by Dexter Sol Ansell).
The official logline for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms reads: It is “set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory” and “great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”

According to George RR Martin’s book, season 1 of the show will deal with the events of his first Dunk-and-Egg novella, The Hedge Knight. He wrote, “The show will make its debut next year and if it does well, [Novella #2] The Sworn Sword and [Novella #3] The Mystery Knight, will follow. By which time, I hope to have finished some more Dunk & Egg stories (yes, after I finish The Winds of Winter).”
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will be written and executive-produced by Martin and Ira Parker.
The Game of Thrones spinoff is slated to premiere in June 2025.
