Cher voluntarily ends her conservatorship battle with son Elijah Blue Allman

Cher has withdrawn her bid to be appointed as her son Elizah Blue Allman's conservator. It has been reported that the legendary singer and her son have reached a private agreement.
The legendary singer has voluntarily dismissed her petition asking the court to appoint her as son Elijah's conservator.
On Friday, Allman's attorneys at Cage & Miles LLPin a statement, shared with People said, "The team successfully defended Elijah, resulting in Cher voluntarily dismissing her petition. This outcome allows the parties to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond, a process that began during mediation and continues today."
As per Rolling Stones, Cher’s lawyer Gabrielle Vidal told the court that the singer wished to dismiss her petition without prejudice, meaning she would reserve her right to file it again if needed.
Neither Cher nor Allman were present in the court during Friday's hearing in downtown Los Angeles.
In December 2023, Cher appealed to the court to make her the conservator of her son.

Elijah is the son of Cher and the late musician Gregg Allman.
In the petition, the singer mentioned that her 48-year-old son is "significantly incapable of handling his financial resources" due to severe mental health and substance abuse challenges."
In the court documents, she also mentioned that Elijah will end up spending all his fund given to him immediately on drugs.
According to documents filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, she claimed, "any funds distributed to Elijah will be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting Elijah’s life at risk."
In January 2024, afew weeks after filing for conservatorship, Cher filed for immediate conservatorship over son’s money, which was denied by a judge, who said Allman's legal team had not been given enough time to review the documents.
In January, Elijah said in a court filing that he's doing fine and do not need the help his mother is offering.
