Sonam Kapoor's new look
The Delhi 6 actress graced the Instagram feeds of her millions of followers by sharing stunning photos of herself in a stylish orange khadi lehenga. However, what truly captured everyone's attention was the unique body ornament she wore, called Sinah, replacing the traditional choli or blouse.
Designed by The Vernacular Modern, the body ornament is made of Karnataka red soil, multani clay, and paper mache.
Styled by Rhea Kapoor, the actress wore an exquisite lehenga featuring a voluminous skirt and a dupatta designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She accessorised her look with a layered necklace that included both an emerald choker and an emerald long necklace, along with matching rings and earrings. Her hair was left down in soft curls and did a soft makeup look with brown lipstick that highlighted her natural beauty.
Sharing her photos, Kapoor wrote that her ensemble is more than an outfit.
She wrote, ''This ensemble is more than an outfit; it’s a narrative on revival, grounding, and celebrating the inner Devi and Dev. Grateful to embody this poetic connection to our roots and traditions this Diwali.''
Detailing more on her looks, Rhea wrote, ''Sinah is an extension of material exploration by @thevernacularmodern (a Bangalore Based design studio); presenting a narrative on revival of Kothi making and rituals around philosophies of Bhumi (Earth) Paired with a terracotta Khadi Lehenga by @abujanisandeepkhosla we celebrate our inner Devs and Devis this Diwali.
