The 2025 BAFTA Film Awards will be held on 16 February 2025, confirmed British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The event will take place two weeks before the Oscars, which are scheduled for March 2, 2025, and during the Berlin Film Festival, which is scheduled from February 13 to 23.
The location of the award ceremony is yet to be announced. This year, the event took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
The complete timeline and eligibility criteria for the 2025 BAFTA Film Awards will also be disclosed in the future. The voting process will consist of three rounds: longlisting, nominations, and selection of winners.

The 2024 BAFTA Awards, which took place three weeks before the Oscars, saw Oppenheimer, Poor Things and The Zone Of Interest emerging as big winners. The live broadcast of the ceremony was watched by over three million people nationally on BBC One, the highest viewing figure since 2020.
Oppenheimer won seven BAFTA awards this year. while Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things came a close second with five wins. Among the presenters were David Beckham, Dua Lipa, and Deepika Padukone.

The first BAFTA Awards ceremony was held in 1949 and it was first televised on the BBC in 1956 with Vivien Leigh as the host. Previously, the ceremony took place in April or May, but it was changed to February in 2001 in order to precede the Academy Awards.
