Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Sunil Narine became only the fourth player in history to play in 500 T20s during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on March 29. Before Narine, West Indies players Kieron Pollard and Dwyane Bravo have also reached the feat. Apart from them, Pakistan's Shoaib Malik is the only other player to feature in 500 or more T20s. Narine celebrated the milestone game with a wicket and 22-ball 47 as KKR beat RCB by seven wickets.

Pollard, who currently is Mumbai Indians batting coach, leads the list with 660 T20s to his name while Bravo, who is now Chennai Super Kings bowling coach, has 573 matches under his belt. Pakistan veteran Malik has played in 542 T20s while Narine is fourth with exact 500 matches.
Here are the stats for all these four players:
Kieron Pollard: The big-hitting all-rounder has 12,900 runs to his name at an average of 31 and a strike rate of 150. In bowling, he has taken 316 wickets at a strike of 18 and an economy of 8.24.
Dwayne Bravo: Bravo has 6,957 runs to his name at an average of 22 and a strike rate of 125. He also has hit 20 fifties in his career with a highest of 70 not out. While bowling, Bravo has taken 635 wickets including a best of 5/23.
Shoaib Malik: The off-spinning all-rounder has 13,360 runs to his name to go with 83 fifties. Malik has hit those runs at an average of 36 and a strike rate of 127 with a highest of 95 not out. With the ball, Malik has 182 wickets to his name with a best of 5/13.
Sunil Narine: The latest entrant in the list, Narine is primarily a bowler with 537 wickets to his name at a strike rate of 21 and an economy of 6. His best bowling performance is 5/19. With the bat, Narine has managed to hit 3,783 runs at a strike rate of 146 with a highest score of 79.
