Flying Ants suspend play between India vs SA
The third T20I between India and South Africa on Wednesday (Nov 13) in SuperSport Park, Centurion was stopped due to 'Flying Ants.' The delay, which occurred one over into the second innings, lasted nearly 30 minutes before the match could begin again.
Flying ants are commonly seen in South Africa during the humid weather, especially three to five days after the rain. The game was stopped as there was a threat of the insects getting into the players' eyes.
Earlier, South Africa won the toss and elected to field first. India had a horrible start again in the game as they lost first T20I's centurion Sanju Samson for a duck for the second time in three matches.
Tilak Varma was promoted up the order at number three and he added 107 runs with Abhishek Sharma for the second wicket in just 8.2 overs. The partnership was broken by Keshav Maharaj when he got Sharma stumped for 50 off 25 balls. India lost skipper Suryakumar Yadav three runs later as the Proteas threatened to make a comeback.

Debutant Ramandeep then announced his arrival in style as he hit the first ball he faced in international cricket for a six. Ramandeep was dismissed on the penultimate ball of the innings with India already having 218 runs on the board.
Tilak Varma finished unbeaten on 107 not out off just 56 balls - hitting eight fours and seven sixes during his maiden hundred. Tilak became the 12th player for India – the most for any team in T20Is. India finally finished with 219/6 in 20 overs.
