Mahindra's Last Mile Mobility division crosses 200,000 EV sales mark

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has surpassed 200,000 electric vehicle sales, reinforcing its position as the country's dominant commercial EV manufacturer. The milestone comes as the company, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, continues to expand its product portfolio.

MLMML has made its mark in the three-wheeler L5 segment, where it commands a 41.2% market share of all L5 EVs, according to data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). The company's achievement is notable in a segment where overall EV penetration stands at 21.7% year-to-date in fiscal year 2025, as reported by Vahan.

The company's growth trajectory has accelerated significantly, with half of its total sales—100,000 units—achieved in just the past 17 months. This rapid expansion comes despite increasing competition in the sector. To maintain its market position, MLMML has introduced new vehicles including the Treo Plus and e-Alfa Plus in FY25.

The manufacturer's current product line encompasses the Mahindra Treo range, e-Alfa range, and Zor Grand three-wheelers. Recently, MLMML expanded into the four-wheeler segment with the launch of Mahindra ZEO, a small commercial electric vehicle in the sub-2 ton category.

To meet growing demand, MLMML has increased production at its manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru, Haridwar, and Zaheerabad. The company maintains India's largest sales and service network for commercial EVs, supporting its extensive customer base.

Marking this milestone, MLMML has launched UDAY NXT, an enhanced version of its customer loyalty program. The new program offers comprehensive benefits including INR 20 lakh driver accidental insurance coverage, career counselling for customers' children, and business/finance advisory services. MLMML was the first automotive manufacturer to introduce such a program through its original UDAY initiative.

Commenting on the achievement, Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, stated, "At Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, sustainability is not a choice but a promise to our future generations. Our collaborative, agile and bold efforts have helped reimagine the last mile ecosystem with reliable products and integrated solutions. Reaching the milestone of 200,000 electric vehicles reflects our dedication to innovation and addressing the evolving needs of urban logistics."

The milestone underscores the growing adoption of electric vehicles in India's commercial sector and highlights the increasing focus on sustainable transportation solutions. As the country continues its push toward electrification, MLMML's achievement represents a significant step in the transition to cleaner mobility options in the commercial vehicle segment.
