''We will not participate in the Mata Kheer Bhawani annual celebrations, The sacrifice that our brothers and sisters have given and the atmosphere we are living in, the whole community is disturbed, and we are in mourning and we condemn these killings and have decided not to go,'' said&nbsp;Rekha Pandita.

The Kashmiri Pandit community has asked authorities not to make transport arrangements for them as they would not attend till their demands are fulfilled.&nbsp;

''If I have security issues going to work, how can I go to Mata Kheer Bhawani? We have decided that none of us will attend, and we have told them (Government) that they should not send the buses for us. We are asking the government to attach us till the condition improves in the valley. We are not asking for relocation,'' said Sanjay Kaul, a Kashmiri Pandit.&nbsp;

It's just two days left for the annual festival and generally the temple would be visited by thousands of devotees but the mood at the temple is very sombre and not many people could be seen around the temple premises. The people visiting say ''There is no doubt that due to the current situation, the numbers have come down of the devotees visiting the temple. Every year people used to come two days before the festival and Puja's would be held, there used to be a rush all around. But due to the recent killings, the Yatris have decided to cancel. We will get to see how many come in the next two days. Cancellations have been done by many but real positions of how many will come will be known tomorrow. All the arrangements have been done. All security measures have been taken too'' said VeerJi Raina, a Kashmiri Pandit.&nbsp;

Some of the devotees are extremely sad to see such low turnout of devotees at the temple. ``We had booked but we also were in doubt whether we should come or not, but we did. But after coming here our hearts are sad, our heart is crying, there used to be so much rush these days and right now it is completely empty. The recent killings have affected the arrival of devotees. '' said Anjali, a&nbsp;Kashmiri Pandit.&nbsp;

''All our teams have been deployed here and all arrangements have been made. Lighting, tents etc are completely in place. Our preparations are in full swing, and we ask everyone to participate in these celebrations like it used to be. We will make it better than previous years.'' And now it is to be seen whether devotees from across the country would turn up for the annual celebrations or the fear of target killings in the valley will have an impact on these celebrations.&nbsp;

As soon as the blast took place chaos ensued in the region, following which the police cordoned off the area. The fresh attacks come in the wake of exodus of the Kashmiri Pandit minority community due to targeted killings by the terrorists.

A lot of labourers, who left their home state for better job prospects, are now fearing for their life. There are at least thousands of labourers working in Kashmir.

''They were having dinner when a huge blast happened at this place resulting in injury to four of the labourers. Police came to the spot and medical treatment was provided to the injured, but it has left everyone here terrified,” said Mohd. Subhan, a labourer.&nbsp;

“Feel like we should go back to our native places,'' he added.

Another labourer, Divarkar, who barely escaped the blast, hopes that situation turns normal soon.

“I had just finished my dinner and was sitting in this shed when a big blast happened.”

The police earlier said that the terrorists lobbed the grenade towards the sheds of these non-local labourers, but it missed the target. Area has been cordoned off. Further details shall follow." tweeted Kashmir Police.&nbsp;

Earlier today, at around 10:30 am (local time), a terrorist barged into the bank premises of the Ellaquai Dehati Bank branch at Areh Mohanpora in Kulgam district and shot dead the bank manager Identified as Vijay Kumar, 29.&nbsp;

Kumar belonged to the Rajasthan state of India. He was posted with the Ellaquai Dehati Bank at Areh Mohanpora in Kulgam district for the last 3 years.&nbsp;

Jammu and Kashmir Police released CCTV footage of the incident, in which terrorists can be seen entering the bank premises and shooting the bank manager from a point-blank range with a pistol.&nbsp;

"Terrorists fired upon a bank employee (manager) at Ellaqie Dehati Bank at Areh Mohanpora village in Kulgam district. He received grievous gunshot injuries in this terror incident. He is a resident of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. Area cordoned off"' said Vijay Kumar, IG Kashmir.&nbsp;

The incident happened just two days after the killing of a Hindu schoolteacher in the same district of Kulgam. A schoolteacher was shot dead by terrorists in the Gopalpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on May 31.&nbsp;

The teacher was identified as Rajni Bala and was shot dead right outside the Government high school, Gopalpora. Rajni Bala was a migrant Hindu scheduled caste and a teacher by profession and was posted in Kulgam in 2017.&nbsp;

Rajni’s husband had dropped her on the main road that day and as she entered the lane, two terrorists shot her from a close range with a pistol. The locals had rushed to the spot and taken her to hospital, but she didn't make it.&nbsp;

The local news agencies have said that the terror outfit, The resistance Front 'TRF' has claimed the responsibility for the attack. The Political parties in the valley have condemned the attack on the Bank Manager.&nbsp;

"So very sorry to hear about the targeted killing of Vijay Kumar. Tweeting to condemn an attack and condole a death are becoming a mind-numbingly regular thing. It’s heart-breaking to see families destroyed like this," said Omar Abdullah, Former CM of Jammu and Kashmir.&nbsp;

On May 25, Famous Kashmiri television, and social media actress Ambreen Bhat was killed by terrorists right outside her house. Her 10-year-old nephew had sustained bullet injuries as well. Ambreen was associated with TV for over 18 years, and she was the lone bread earner of the house. Her Father kept saying that Ambreen was his son during her funeral. The Jammu and Kashmir Police had said that three Lashkar terrorists were involved in the killing on Ambreen. She was shot at from a close range with a pistol.&nbsp;

On May 12, a Kashmiri Pandit, Rahul Bhat was shot dead by terrorists inside his Tehsil office. Rahul was an employee of the revenue department in Kashmir. He had been given a job under the PM package for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley. Police said that Rahul was shot at by 02 terrorists using pistols for the crime.

The Government in a meeting yesterday decided that all the non-locals and minority community employees will be posted in secure locations in the Valley. However, the Kashmir Pandit community has been demanding that they should be shifted to the Jammu region till the condition in the valley becomes conducive.&nbsp;

“It was the arrival time and 5 teachers had reached the school. We are in total 8 teachers. We were getting ready for morning assembly. We heard a sound like a firecracker. The kids started shouting and when we reached the spot, she was lying there injured. She was posted here since 2017. She never wanted to get transferred from the school. It was extremely horrific. This is very unfortunate and inhumane to kill a teacher,” Fayaz Ahmad, a teacher in the same school.&nbsp;

The political parties in the valley have condemned the killing and said these civilian killings are a cause of concern. “ Rajni was from Samba District of Jammu province. A government teacher working in the Kulgam area of South Kashmir, she lost her life in a despicable targeted attack. My heart goes out to her husband Raj Kumar &amp; the rest of her family. Another home irreparably damaged by violence." said Omar Abdullah, Former Cheif Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.&nbsp;

The Amarnath Shrine Board has made Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, which help locate a person, compulsory&nbsp;for all the devotees taking the Amarnath pilgrimage this year.

The RFID tags would help the authorities to track a pilgrim and know about his whereabouts&nbsp;in case&nbsp;they get lost during the journey.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the shrine board, Nitishwar Kumar, asserted that the security of pilgrims is their top priority.

“The RFID tags would help in tracking a pilgrim and to let know where the person is. RFID has lots of benefits and among them, the most important one is that it would find out if there are any unauthorised persons,” said Kumar.&nbsp;

The authorities also said that pilgrims can get RFID from airport and railway station. Even the local vendors would be provided with these RFID tags. &nbsp;

The authorities also appealed to all those taking the yatra this year to comply with the new rule of securing RFID tags. The authorities say it's for the security of the pilgrims.&nbsp;

The Amarnath yatra will be starting on June 30 and will go on till August 11. The government expects at least 600,000 pilgrims to take part in this year’s pilgrimage.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Police chief, Dilbag Singh, reviewed the security arrangements for the Amarnath pilgrimage on Friday and asked different agencies to maintain close coordination within their ranks and among themselves for conducting the pilgrimage peacefully.

The director-general of police held a high-level meeting of officers from the police, army and central armed paramilitary forces (CAPF) at the police headquarters.

Every year, hundreds and thousands of devotees undertake this pilgrimage to offer their prayers at the Amarnath cave shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.

The shrine is considered to be one of the holiest temples in India. The main cave is situated at a height of 12,756 ft from sea level and remains covered with snow most of the year except for a short period of time in summer.&nbsp;

"The central government is not taking note of the situation and its muscular policy is worsening the situation on the ground. The central government is claiming that everything is alright in Jammu and Kashmir, which is far from the truth. Innocent People are being killed on a daily basis here. Unfortunately, central government and BJP are seeing J&amp;K through the prism of security and Muslim majority state," said Mehbooba Mufti.&nbsp;

J&K: Actress Ambreen Bhat’s killers killed in Pulwama encounter

The brutal killing of Kashmir’s TV artiste Ambreen Bhat by terrorists just outside her house has sent shockwaves across the valley, with locals demanding immediate action against the terrorists.

The killing took place on Thursday at 8 pm in central Kashmir's Budgam area. Her 10-year-old nephew also sustained bullet injuries.

Hundreds of people visited the 35-year-old’s house to pay their last respects. Several women were seen wailing for her death while the men remained shell-shocked and numb.

Ambreen's father, an asthma patient, keeps saying that Ambreen was his son and not daughter. She was the lone bread earner of the house. She was associated with TV for over 18 years, and she was famous on social media too.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have said that three Lashkar terrorists are involved in the killing of the 35-tear-old star.&nbsp;

According to Ambreen's family, ''Two people knocked on the door of their house around 7.45 pm. Her nephew opened the door and found two people standing. They asked for Ambreen, and afterwards, she came out. They asked her to come with them for a filing related project in Budgam village, but she denied their request. That is when she was fired upon and one of the bullets hit her nephew,” said Ambreen's brother-in-Law.&nbsp;

Everyone in the locality is condemning this killing and saying no humanity in the world allows this kind of murder. Shooting a woman and a child is a sin, they say. However, the family claimed that Ambreen had received no threat of any kind in the past.

''Ambreen used to run this house, she used to earn some money by working in TV and helping in running the house. She has been snatched from us and we don't know what to do. I cannot do anything, but God will punish my daughters’ killers,'' said Ambreen’s father.&nbsp;

The political parties have also expressed outrage over the brutal killing.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah expressed grief saying, ''Shocked &amp; deeply saddened by the murderous militant attack on Ambreen Bhat. Sadly, Ambreen lost her life in the attack &amp; her nephew was injured. There can be no justification for attacking innocent women &amp; children like this. May Allah grant her a place in Jannat.''

PDP President and former CM Mehbooba Mufti blamed the government saying, ''Government of India keeps blowing its trumpet of normalcy in J&amp;K even when such gruesome incidents suggest otherwise. My heart goes out to Ambreen Bhat’s family &amp; pray her nephew recovers swiftly.”

In the past week, there has been a spate of civilian and personnel killings by the terrorists in Kashmir.

Earlier on Tuesday, terrorists shot dead a police constable outside his house in Soura area of Srinagar. His 7-year-old daughter was injured in the attack.

On May 13, another police constable Riyaz Ahmed was gunned down at his residence in Pulwama.

And just a day before, terrorists killed a government employee Rahul Bhat on the office premises in Budgam district.

The police and the army have their task cut out. In the backdrop of recent targeted killings, they need to tackle this&nbsp;cycle of violence and the atmosphere of fear across the valley.&nbsp;
