Officials say that the rescue operation is being carried out at the flash flood site as well as the river flowing from Amarnath cave to Baltal base camp. Although the authorities say that there are very slim chances of finding any survivors.&nbsp;

“I think a major effort has already gone through. They have already cleared the opening of the yatra again. We think in a day or two we will be able to clear the area for anything else," said Air Commodore Pankaj Mittal, air force station, Srinagar.&nbsp;

More than 30 people are feared to be missing and trapped under the debris that came along with the flash floods in the area. So far, the authorities with Amarnath Shrine Board have not released any details about the missing people.

Earlier, camping within 5 kilometres of the Amarnath Cave was prohibitted. But last few years have seen tents and community kitchens being permitted close to the Amarnath Cave.&nbsp;

Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir has called for a probe into this.&nbsp;

“We hope the government will explain what happened and how, and a commission would be set up to investigate. Why were the tents put up at such risky places? It should be investigated? The question is that so far, I don't think the tents were ever placed at the location before this. It is the for the first time. It should be investigated, and It can be a human error," said Farooq Abdullah, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.&nbsp;

The questions are also raised with regard to the failure of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags for Yatris. The government and Shrine board had claimed that every Yatri taking the pilgrimage would be tracked all through the routes with the help of technology and these RFID cards. But reports are that they have not found a single missing Yatri with the help of these RFID cards. However, the Indian army was seen using sniffer dogs, high tech radars and avalanche trans-receivers to look for the bodies under the rubble.&nbsp;

Authorities have not so far released details about the missing people at the site of the flsh flood. This has caused concern among the people.

The LG of Jammu and Kashmir has expressed anguish over the incident and sent condolences to the families.

The Amarnath Shrine Board is extending the online facility for performing virtual pooja, virtual hawan, prasad booking etc for the devotees. "We have made all the arrangements for the smooth functioning of Amarnath Yatra and for those people who can't come for the Yatra, we have made facilities for virtual yatra, we can arrange for a Virtual Pooja or Take prasad or get a Havan done, you will get all the facilities. We have created a virtual room and our priests will let you be a part of the Pooja. Second, we have kept gold coins in the Amarnath cave of 5gm and 10gm, when the Yatra comes out after performing the Yatra, at the exit gate we give them the Prasad," said Nitishwar Kumar, CEO Shrine Board. The Amarnath Shrine Board has opened an online facility for the devotees to book their Pooja, Havan, and Prasad online. The priests at the holy cave will offer it in the devotee’s name, and the Prasad will be subsequently delivered at the doorsteps of the devotees. According to BJP Spokesperson, Talib Hussain was an active member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was also in-charge of minority morcha social media in Jammu. The BJP says open online membership is the reason as there is no background check done on these people. BJP also says that Pakistan has a new Modus Operandi to put these terrorists in political party offices.

"With the arrest of Talib Hussain, a new issue has come up, the terror organisations across the border in Pakistan are hatching a new conspiracy. By entering the BJP, gaining access and doing recce is to make a plot to kill the top leadership. The Police have busted the module which has come from across the border by those who want to spread terror. Anyone can become a member of the BJP online. I'd say this is a drawback since there is no system to check the criminal record or antecedents of the people who are taking membership online," said R S Pathania, spokesperson, BJP.

Jammu and Kashmir Police said that these two terrorists were caught by villagers of Tukson Dhok while they were taking shelter in the area. Police also recovered two AK-rifles, 7 Grenades, a pistol, and a huge quantity of ammunition from their possession. Jammu and Kashmir Police had declared Talib an absconder and reward was announced for him ten days ago after a terror module was busted in the same region. Police says that Talib Hussain was in constant touch with LeT terrorist Qasim based in Pakistan and was involved in at least 3 cases of IED blast in Rajouri District besides in civilian killings and grenade blasts.

"From the last few days, we were searching for Talib Hussain in the Rajouri area of Jammu Region. We had recovered 5 IEDs from the residence of Talib Hussain. We were constantly looking for Talib Hussain and our search was going on in the area. Areas in Rajouri and Raesi were searched. During the search operation, he reached the higher reaches in the area where they were trying to take shelter. We had declared a reward on Talib Hussain. People saw them moving in the area, which looked suspicious as they were carrying arms and bags along. People showed courage and caught them despite these terrorists having arms and ammunition and could have done anything to them," said Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu.&nbsp;

The government of Jammu and Kashmir has awarded the villagers for their bravery. State has rewarded them with 5 lakh rupees while Jammu and Kashmir Police has given 2 lakh rupees to the villagers for catching the terrorists. The Lieutenent General of UT of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha has also applauded the courage of villagers and said that with this kind of determination shown by the villagers, the end days of terrorism is not far.

However, the political parties across India are pointing fingers at BJP, as this is the second incident in recent time where someone Like Talib Hussain, an active LeT terrorist connected with handlers across the border was also having close connection with BJP.

While congress has taken strong exception to the presence of dreaded terrorists in the ranks of the BJP and asked the ruling party to explain it to the nation how the dreaded terrorists have been enjoying its patronage by getting important assignments in the party. The People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti has also commented and said that all criminal elements in the society are associated with the BJP.

"One of the murderers of Udaipur case whose name is Riyaz was associated with BJP. His pictures are all over with leaders from BJP. The same way, Talib Hussain has been arrested, he is a LeT militant and was in charge of BJP's IT Cell. It seems all the criminal elements in the society are associated with the BJP. They get these people to do work which leads to communal tensions. The killing in Udaipur, which was so inhuman, the killer is a worker of BJP. The cow vigilantes who killed the Muslims were garlanded by BJP," said Mehbooba Mufti, Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.&nbsp;

The security forces have started the investigation in the case and are looking at possibilities of other people in the mainstream political parties.&nbsp;

Bilal Ahmad, a taekwondo player&nbsp;hailing from a&nbsp;small village in central Kashmir's Budgam district, will be representing India at the International Taekwondo Championship to be held in Bangkok, Thailand this year. Bilal has trained for years to accomplish the goal of playing for the country and with his dedication to the sport, one hopes that he would return with a medal.

Bilal has been training in martial arts since his school days and today not only is he representing India at an International championship, but he is training hundreds of boys in his village in Martial arts.

''In 2019, I participated in a National Championship at talkatora stadium In Delhi and won a gold medal. After that I got selected for the International championship. But due to covid this championship was postponed and now finally it is to take place in Bangkok Thailand this year. I will be leaving for Bangkok soon. I started training in martial arts from my school days. I started with Taekwondo from the beginning and started to learn. I, under the guidance of coach Shuja Sir, started to train. I worked hard and started to train at home till I participated in championships. I had to do everything on my own without any help from anyone. '' said Bilal Ahmad, Taekwondo Player.&nbsp;

As Bilal comes from a humble background, he is training kids in his village free of cost so that they don't have to face the same difficulties he faced while training for Taekwondo.&nbsp;

''All these children who I train belong to poor families, I am myself from a very middle-class background and faced a lot of financial problems regarding my training. I teach them because I know they are talented, and they need to be honed of the skills. '' stated Bilal.&nbsp;

Kashmir's Taekwondo player to represent India at International Championship

India's Border Security Forces (BSF) today killed a Pakistani intruder along the international border in the RS Pura sector of the Jammu region. BSF said that at around 12:10am (local time), suspicious movement was seen across the fence in the general area of the Border Observation Post of Baquarpur. The BSF asked the intruder to stop but he did not. Later, he was shot.&nbsp;

"Today morning at about 1210 hrs alert BSF troops noticed suspicious movement across the fence in the general area of BOP Baquarpur. Our domination party at night noticed a person coming from Pak side aggressively towards the fence with an intention to cross the fence," said BSF.&nbsp;

"Our party challenged him to stop but he paid no attention to it and continued his movement towards the fence. Left with no option for our troops fired three rounds on the intruder due to which he fell down immediately ahead of fencing," it added.&nbsp;

The BSF further said that early morning a search party went to sanitise the area and found the dead body of the intruder lying very close to the fence.&nbsp;

"Early in the morning our search party checked the area and found the dead body of a Pak intruder very close to the fence," said BSF.&nbsp;

The BSF also said that nothing was recovered from the intruder and the dead body has been handed over to the police for further investigation.&nbsp;

India: Pakistani intruder killed along international border in Jammu

The people living in the last village of North Kashmir's Machil sector in Kupwara only knew of ceasefire violations, shelling and infiltration bids. Hundreds of people were injured while most of their houses were damaged in ceasefire violations and shelling from the Pakistani side in recent years. But things have completely changed for these villagers after a ceasefire agreement was signed by India and Pakistan in Oct 2019.&nbsp;

The people of Doodhi Village in the Machil sector were most affected by these ceasefire violations and shelling. Every household in this village has witnessed the most brutal shelling from across the border.&nbsp;

Mohammad Lateef Khan of Doodhi Village lost both of his houses in 2019, his three sons were injured and one of his sons lost his hand. His whole family had to bear the brunt of these shellings from across the border. The life of these villagers has completely changed after the agreement. The villagers are now returning to normal life and working in the agriculture fields, starting small businesses, as well as sending their children to school. Despite this, these people feel they are lacking opportunities. They feel that the government should assist them in rebuilding their lives so that they are economically stronger for a better standard of living.&nbsp;

''We have been living safely and happily here since the day the ceasefire agreement was signed by both the countries, we are living a normal life. It was difficult before this but now we feel safer. A lot of villages and people have been affected due to ceasefire violations. They have not been compensated. The value of life has increased. We want mutual cooperation so that we can live in peace,'' said Parvaiz Ahmad Shaikh, a local.&nbsp;

The Indian army plays a vital role in the development of these remote villages. From roads, electricity, education and providing opportunities for employment, the army has been tirelessly working day and night to help these people. As the villages are witnessing peaceful times, the administration along with the Indian army has been collaborating on various projects to help the locals.&nbsp;

The people of Doodhi Village in the Machil sector were most affected by these ceasefire violations and shelling. Every household in this village has witnessed the most brutal shelling from across the border. His whole family had to bear the brunt of these shellings from across the border. And now finally after the agreement between India and Pakistan, these villages are living a normal life without fear and danger. My three kids, and my uncle was injured whereas two of my houses were fully damaged as well. My cousin and his family also were Injured. I took out a loan and got my children treated. My son has an injury in arm, another one in leg. One son lost his hand. I am sending them to school, but they can't go into Police or army due to those injuries. We have been living peacefully since the last one year due to the ceasefire agreement, it's the best thing that has happened here. We request both the governments to keep the peace,'' said Mohammad Lateef Khan The life of these villagers has completely changed after the agreement. The villagers are now returning to normal life and working in the agriculture fields, starting small businesses, as well as sending their children to school. Despite this, these people feel they are lacking opportunities. They feel that the government should assist them in rebuilding their lives so that they are economically stronger for a better standard of living. It was difficult before this but now we feel safer. A lot of villages and people have been affected due to ceasefire violations. They have not been compensated. The value of life has increased. We want mutual cooperation so that we can live in peace,'' said Parvaiz Ahmad Shaikh, a local. The Indian army plays a vital role in the development of these remote villages. From roads, electricity, education and providing opportunities for employment, the army has been tirelessly working day and night to help these people. As the villages are witnessing peaceful times, the administration along with the Indian army has been collaborating on various projects to help the locals. In addition to guarding the borders in Jammu and Kashmir the Indian Army is also helping the local children get educated. The Army Goodwill School in the last village in North Kashmir is ensuring that children from ther remotest village of North Kashmir have a bright future.

The school was started in the year 2001.

Till October 2019, the area was prone to ceasefire violations and shelling. Children from this village had to run for their lives. But now after the ceasefire agreement these children are getting quality education peacefully in this Indian army-run school

The Indian army is trying to provide these children with the best possible education so that they can compete with the students from the rest of India.&nbsp;

"The school started in 2001 and we have around 114 students in the school. It's for students from nursery to 8 Standard. The areas are hilly and difficult for the children but despite that they come, and parents also make the effort to send their children so that they can have a bright future," Captain Biradar, Indian Army.&nbsp;

The school has best education amenities like computer lab, library, auditorium as well as sports courts. With high standard and quality of education, the students at the school are sure of making it big in the future. Most of them want to become doctors and teachers so that they can help people of these areas.&nbsp;

"It is a great school with all the facilities. We have a computer lab; we get books from the school and have a nice library. We have a science lab and auditorium and for sports we have volleyball and basketball court. This is a great school, and we get good education here. If there wasn't a school here, we wouldn't be studying, I want to join Indian Police Service. I am happy that the army has opened this school," said Farooq Ahmad, a student.

The Indian army has chosen the best local educators to teach in the school. These teachers are helping in making sure that the foundation of these students is made stronger so that they can compete with students from across the country.&nbsp;

"This school was set up in 2001 and since then it has been imparting education to the students. The students from this school are competing with the children from all other districts. The parents also think that Army school is providing the best education to the students. We also hold competitions in the school whether it's sports or education. We make sure the foundation of the students is made strong," said Tariq Ahmad, a teacher.&nbsp;

The Indian army is running hundreds of Goodwill Schools across the Union Territory, but to run this school in Macchil sector is one of the most challenging task.&nbsp;
