In a shocking turn of events, an illegal immigrant in New York was seen carrying the dead body of a woman on his back while walking out of an Airbnbas a police vehicle drove by him at the exact moment.
Media reports revealed that 21-year-old Jhon Moises Chacaguasay-Ilbis has been accused of killing Joselyn Jhoana Toaquiza, 21, on her birthday. Both of them had crossed the US border illegally in 2023.
What happened?
As per reports, the duo arranged a meeting at the Airbnb on June 18. Chacaguasay-Ilbis reportedly suffocated Toaquiza to death and then buried her inside apark in upstate New York.

In a video that recentlyemerged on social media, Chacaguasay-Ilbis can be seen carrying the dead body on his back on his way to the park. At the exact moment, a police cruiser can be seen driving by.
Relation between the murderer and the dead
Both the accused and the victim reportedly hailed from Ecuador and had been schoolmates. Chacaguasay-Ilbis came to the US in January 2023 after crossing the El Paso border in Texas illegally. He was later released in the US because the authorities apparently lacked the space to hold him.
Similarly, Toaquiza entered the US In June of that year. She was initially detained by Border Patrol but was released into the country after she claimed her life was in danger back in Ecuador from an ex-romantic partner. It was not clear whether she was referring to Chacaguasay-Ilbis.
Following the murder, Chacaguasay-Ilbis surrendered before the police. He is now charged with second-degree murder and concealment of a human corpse. During his appearance in Syracuse City Court, he claimed he couldn't recall anything and he was heavily drunk at the time of the incident.
