Protests by several white farmers and their supporters have transpired in South Africa due to?increased number of murders of white farmers.
Several white farmers and their supporters have been protesting in South Africa over alleged increasednumber of murders of white farmers.
The protest, calledBlack Monday, has been carried out because of the increasingrate ofwhite farmers' murders, which is much higher thanthe overall murder rate inSouth Africa, reports said.
Duringthe last year itself, about70 white farmers have been killed in341 attacks onfarms, reports say.
Several highways leading tothe South African cities ofCape Town, Pretoria and Johannesburg have been blockedwithtraffic jams by several trucks belonging to white farmers and their supporter, who organised the protest.
Three protesters wereinjured when a truck clashedinto vehicles.

Protesters have been alerted by Police Minister Fikile Mbalulato be calm, notifyingthat there would be consequences against anyonewho threatened to hinder traffic onroads with trucks and tractors.
