WTO launches $50 million fund to empower women entrepreneurs

The world trade organization has unveiled a $50 million fund aimed at propelling female entrepreneurs in developing countries into the forefront of global trade. Led by director general Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, this initiative addresses a critical disparity: while women represent half of the world's population, their contribution to global GDP stands at only 37%.
