World Cup Mascots Help Police Nab Suspected Drug Dealer In Peru

In a bizarre operation straight out of a movie, police officers in Lima, Peru, dressed up as FIFA World Cup 2026 mascots to arrest a suspected drug dealer.
Officers disguised themselves as Maple the Moose, Zayu the Jaguar, and Clutch the Bald Eagle before approaching the suspect's location. Authorities said intelligence suggested the target was a devoted football fan, allowing officers to blend in and avoid raising suspicion.
The unusual tactic paid off, with police successfully carrying out the arrest while drawing attention across social media. The operation comes as World Cup fever continues to spread ahead of FIFA 2026.
