US to boycott Beijing Winter Olympics diplomatically in protest against China's Human Rights abuses
The US announces diplomatic boycott of 2022 Beijing winter Olympics in a protest against China's Human Rights abuses. There will be no diplomatic or official representation by the United States in the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics in a bid to raise voice against China's tainted human rights record in Xinjiang province. Beijing is also planning countermeasures against the US. However, US athletes will continue to participate in the games.
