Japan’s anime industry has reached a new milestone, with the market growing to a record 4.45 trillion yen, or about $36 billion, in 2025. The industry crossed the 4 Trillion yen mark for the first time, underlining how Japanese animation has evolved from a domestic entertainment product into a major global content business.
