US information leaked to Russian ally Mali due to email typing error

Due to a small typing error, millions of emails from the US military that included extremely sensitive information were unintentionally transmitted to Mali. Notably, Mali is a West African nation and a Russian ally. Confusion was initially triggered by a straightforward domain name error.
