UK denies Sheikh Hasina's asylum request; former Bangladeshi PM likely to extend her stay in India

The United Kingdom has rejected Sheikh Hasina's request for political asylum. The British Government said that it is not giving political asylum to anyone at present. Hasina's representative took her passport for visa approval to the British High Commission in Delhi. If Sheikh Hasina does not get the visa now, she will have to stay in Delhi.
