UK consumer price inflation slows to 9.9% as fuel prices decline
The UK's inflation rate has eased slightly because of lower fuel prices in August. Prices for vehicle fuels dropped by 6.8%. However, prices generally are still continuing to rise at their nearly fastest rate in four decades.
