UK: Christmas Turkey shortage looms as worst bird flu epidemic hits the country

The UK could be facing a shortage of turkeys ahead of the festive season. According to Industry leaders half of the free-range turkeys that were reared for Christmas have either died or been slaughtered because of the ongoing bird flu epidemic that means that 600,000 birds have been lost to the highly infectious bird flu.
