Heavy downpours and winds hit the east coast of Japan on Saturday after Typhoon Hagibis made landfall on the Izu Peninsula on Japan's main island at 19:00 Saturday local time, according to local authorities, with most stores closed and public transportation shut down. According to the reports, 19 people got killed and at least 70 are injured.
