U.S. President Donald Trump has filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS and the Treasury Department, accusing them of failing to prevent the leak of his tax records nearly a decade ago. The suit alleges reputational and financial harm after a former IRS contractor unlawfully shared Trump’s tax returns with news outlets. The case also includes Trump’s sons and the Trump Organization as plaintiffs.
