Sri Lanka looks to prevent bribery and eradicate corruption

The island nation of Sri Lanka has finally made the decision to create a legal framework to combat corruption. A new anti-corruption bill was notified early this week that is in line with its commitment to the IMF as part of the bailout deal. The bill aims to prevent and eradicate bribery and corruption as well as to improve government transparency, increase State accountability, and increase public confidence in the democratic system.
